Tony Calrya debuts on El Muerto with ‘Colombia’

2017 has started off strong for Tony Calrya. After releasing lots of successful remixes and original tracks to his Soundcloud and garnering tens of thousands of streams, he is starting to present himself as one to watch within the music scene and people are taking note.

His self-described fusion of Latin/Tribal and Tech House is truly original and the passion he presents towards his productions is second to none. His remix of Steve Angello’s ‘Valodja’ was particularly well received and showcases his intricate, special style of production which has led to his quickly growing reputation amongst his peers.

‘Colombia’ shows he is not just a master of the remix. The self-proclaimed ‘Swiss Groove Ambassador’ delivers a bouncy, vibe infused example of his individual flair. Powerful drums and bass are sat alongside addictive vocal loops and intense organic instrumentation. Accordions abound, the Latin influence to the track runs deep and is an exciting hybridisation of electronic and organic music.

Calrya hails from Switzerland but moved to London to study at the world-famous Point Blank music production school. Not only does this demonstrate his passion for all things musical but shows he’s officially part of the industry’s pedigree of producers.

The label El Muerto operates out of Mexico with the sole purpose of representing up and coming artists and giving free music to their fans. Calrya personally appreciates what the label does to promote groove music in Mexico and promote their local music scene and presents again his commitment to music over money. A relatively new label, they are quickly making movements within the music scene and recent release from Elias Malpica & Erick T was a success and helped gain some notoriety for the label before Calyra’s release.

L’Tric – ‘The Way You Are’

Australian duo L’Tric reveal their new single ‘The Way You Are’, out now via Neon/Island/PM:AM.

First surfacing as an instrumental titled ‘The Beach’ at last year’s Amsterdam Dance Event, this dancefloor weapon has been steadily gaining momentum ever since, picking up support from the likes of Avicii, Pete Tong, Danny Howard, EDX and Chris Lake amongst many others.

Now complimented by a rich vocal from LVL, the record has been reborn as ‘The Way You Are’ and is ready to soundtrack a whole new season’s worth of good times. The summer-infused single packs all the warmth of the Australian house hotspot Melbourne, home to L’Tric’s Ivan Gough and Sgt. Slick. The track combines bright synth patterns with an infectious bassline, underpinning LVL’s vibrant vocal performance.

A perfect fit for dancefloors and festivals alike, ‘The Way You Are’ is set to launch L’Tric as an international duo to watch.

About L’Tric
L’Tric is Ivan Gough and Sgt. Slick. The Australian DJ/Producer mates, first connected near the beginning of their long and successful production careers in their hometown, the World class, music-breeding hot spot that is Melbourne.

Ivan, who is widely regarded as one of Australia’s first and most accomplished dance music exports, is behind some of electronica’s biggest anthems. A pioneer in the game, he’s responsible for putting Australia’s progressive house culture on the global map – from Ibiza to New York, Canada to the UK and everywhere in between. Ivan can boast having a string of timeless releases under his belt, including his smashes with TV ROCK such as “Been A Long Time”, Axwell favourite “In The Air” and ARIA award winning “Flaunt It”. Other collaborations include the Size/Neon co-releases “Noxu”, “Kukatu” & “Boom” plus the Grammy nominated, ARIA & APRA Award winning “In My Mind” (alongside Feenixpawl and Georgi K), which was without doubt, one of 2012’s biggest EDM records; a staple in the Swedish House Mafia sets through their final World tour.

Over the past 10 year’s Melbourne’s Sgt Slick has steadily ascended into the upper echelon of Australia and the World’s premiere DJs, producers and remixers. Working under a number of monikers, Andy (as known by his friends) has forged an impressive catalogue of releases and productions, reflecting his skill and consistency in the studio. Coupled with his unwavering motivation and dedication on the decks, he has become a go-to-guy in all three dance music categories. He is behind some of the genre’s all time mega releases, dominating the coveted Beatport Top 10 Chart with records like “Everyday” and “Like This”, plus club smashes like the ARIA Award winning “White Treble, Black Bass” and ARIA # 1 “Automatic Machine”. Always pushing the envelope, now LA based Andy continues to play a leading role in the world of house music with multiple releases on Kaskade’s burgeoning “Arkade” imprint, as well as forging his way across the US with a string of high profile headlining gigs.

The duo have released 3 successful singles to date as L’Tric in the form of their debut single and UK/USA Club Chart topping smash ‘This Feeling’, their club gem ‘The Beach’ and most recently ‘1994’

CEM – Kissing in the name

April 21st, 2017 (Berlin, Germany) — Berlin-based music producer CEM has released his first official EP through Sariton Records: “Kissing in the name“. The worldwide digital release takes place on April 21st, 2017 and is supported by the aggregator Feiyr. CEM’s message is as simple as it is important: Heartfelt music connects and conciliates people. This message is especially precious in times of global tension, hatred and post-factual news.

“I can’t do big politics, but I feel like I have to“, says Cem bluntly. He suggests: “Kissing in the name of unity is way better than killing in the name of religion and economic interests.” As a Turkish immigrant Cem is especially moved by the recent anti-democratic developments in his homeland Turkey.

Cem is an accomplished producer of EDM styles like Ambient, Electronica and Deep House, but has also a deep love for handmade music with guitar, bass and drums. Arno Raffeiner, editor-in-chief of influential German Spex Mag, wrote about Cem’s approach to making music: “A very charming mixture of guitar-influenced music and electronic sounds and patterns. The joy of playing and singing is felt in every track.” The title track is – of course – inspired by the political and timeless guitar classic from RATM: “Killing in the name“.
Kissing in the name contains four genuine and fresh tracks of electronic dance music, soulfully mixed with eclectic styles. In addition to the title track Digitally Yours, Wake Me Up If It Is Friday and Comatose are presented on the EP.

About CEM
CEM [d???m] is a Berlin-based music producer and a dedicated family man. “Kissing in the name“ is his first official and worldwide digital release. Cem was born in Istanbul, Turkey. At the age of 15 he started singing and playing drums, guitar and bass. He got in fast with the fascinating music scene of the Turkish metropolis. Cem is completely self-taught and is a multi-instrumentalist. In 1997 he migrated to Berlin to study computer linguistics and media design. For many years he has played and toured with the multicultural band “Everkeen” and contributed rough vocal energy and sing-along tunes.

Apart from writing and producing music, Cem is working at the Berlin Club SO36. This club has often been compared to New York’s CBGB. Cem lives and breathes the creative spirit of the club, which has always envisioned itself as a crossover between music, sub culture and visual art. Consequently Cem also produces his own music videos to generate a coherent artistic vision of political consciousness and honest music.
