Why should you come in a situation to re-calibrate the S4 jog wheels? Let me quote from the guide itself:
Calibration will not only optimize the jog wheel response, but can also solve the following potential problems that may occur if the TRAKTOR KONTROL S4 has been dropped, or transported inappropriately:
Calibration might be necessary if:
- A lot of pressure is required to scratch.
- It is not possible to scratch with the jog wheel at all, i.e. pressing down on the jog wheel does not stop playback of the track.
- A track in the deck does not play even though the jog wheel is not held down and the PLAY button is lit. In this case the “Load” button on the corresponding deck will also remain lit up permanently, indicating that the “Scratch On” function is still activated.
