Falco Benz shares 90s inspired video for ‘Like Today’ + announces debut album ‘Confiturisme’

A sepia hue and 90s aesthetic, the latest video from Dutch producer Falco Benz is stylish, carefree and choreographed to perfection. Providing the visual texture for ‘Like Today’, the first single from his forthcoming debut album, the video sees a group of dancers in various outdoor city locations and warehouses vibing to the music, freestyling and dancing. After a series of EP’s already released on Magnetron Music, this November 11th Falco Benz will finally drop his debut album, Confiturisme, through the Amsterdam-based label.

This impressive debut is as diverse as Falco Benz’s tastes and influences. Revolving around analogue synthesizers, drum computers and step sequencers Benz’s creations can once be described as melancholic patterns and aggressive bass lines, and next as warm cheerful chords and disco-inspired beats.

Before beginning his solo career in 2013, Falco Benz worked for many years as a keyboardist for artists including Benny Sings, Faveryayo and Kyteman. His big break came when one of his singles ‘Hat Tricks’ via Magnetron Music found its way to Dutch national radio and became the song of the summer.

The repertoire of Falco Benz varies from instrumental synthesizer and sample based house to more vocal and poppy electronic tracks. Alongside his remix work for renowned artists like Roísín Murphy, Oscar & The Wolf and The Flexican, Falco Benz plays has toured internationally playing many clubs and festivals on stage with a unique and beautiful set-up – surrounded by synthesizers and synchronized visuals in primary colors.

Confiturisme is out 11th November, 2016.
