A collaboration from two of the scene’s most innovative artists, Seven Lions joins forces with Anjunabeats young gun Jason Ross for “Higher Love,” featuring the vocal talents of MUTEMATH’s Paul Meany.

Responsible for some of the finest reworks in the Anjunabeats catalogue, Seven Lions’ experimental approach transformed the likes of Above & Beyond’s “You Got To Go” and Velvetine’s “The Great Divide” into modern cult classics. His first original release on the label aligns him with a mainstay of the Anjunabeats roster, Jason Ross, whose ear for uplifting melodies and polished club records has turned him into a global star in 2016.

After originally connecting for a remix of Seven Lion’s smash “Creation,” the two quickly realized the relationship could grow further and a hit collaboration quickly took form. Soon after they tapped Paul Meany from American alternative rock band MUTEMATH, a veteran talent with a keen indie sensibility who was immediately drawn to the tune.

“This collab with Jason was probably one of the quickest and smoothest collabs I’ve ever worked on,” said Jeff. “It started out with a really simple piano melody that you hear in the middle and then we just started building on it over a few weeks. All through email but we would be working on it at the same time and constantly sending updates. I think it was a really fun collab. We are really excited about how it turned out.”

Hot off the heels of his headlining North American “The Journey” tour which has had sold out stops around the continent, Seven Lions shows no signs of slowing down his musical journey anytime soon.

Seven Lions “Creation Remixes” out now

Following the successful release of his Creation EP earlier this spring and the announcement of his upcoming North American tour kicking off this fall, California native Seven Lions adds to the journey yet again, this time in the form of a genre-defying Creation remix package.

The seven track compilation features several genre-spanning reworks of the EP’s titular track “Creation Feat. Vök,” including a trapped out banger from up-and-coming producer Soltan, a feelsy trance anthem from Anjunabeats prodigy Jason Ross, a darker melodic dubstep edit from Beatman and Ludmilla, and a flowy future bass version from Sunday Service. The collection also consists of three remixes of the radio-ready pop tune “Coming Home Feat. Mike Mains,” specifically catchy trap reworks from Kap Slap and Suspect 44 as well as a progressive peak-hour dancefloor groover from 3LAU.

Continuing Seven Lions’ tradition of transcending musical boundaries and creating thematic artistic works, the remix package serves as a compliment to the producer’s upcoming Journey tour. The tour will feature support from Pegboard Nerds, Unlike Pluto, and Grum and hit more than 40 stops across the continent beginning this October. In addition, Seven Lions is teaming up with Fuck Cancer to donate one dollar from each ticket purchased for the tour to the nonprofit organization.
