Claptone, Doorly, Tough Love and Basement Jaxx…

London based duo Tough Love have rapidly risen through the ranks of the house scene over the last three years. Their distinct productions together with energetic and bass-heavy DJ sets have created a cult following of hardcore fans across the UK and beyond. Their sound is instantly recognisable in their production and can be described as bass-infused house with plenty of 90s R&B and garage.

Their recent Top 20 smash So Freakin’ Tight has been causing a storm across the world of late, check it out below – Don’t miss out on this one!

S-Man, AKA Roger Sanchez returns to Ministry of Sound following his roadblocked Saturday Sessions takeover in November. S-Man’s renaissance has continued to flourish with support from Pete Tong, Disclosure and Skream. Sanchez has scored numerous hits in the European and World Charts with both his own music and the remixes he has created for an array of superstars including Diana Ross, Daft Punk, Madonna and No Doubt.

Robbie Rivera remixes The Writers Block!

This is a match made in heaven.

Miami resident Robbie Rivera is known for his sexy musical style so when a promo landed in his inbox with a title like ‘She’s A Freak’ his interest was certainly piqued. He was also undoubtedly familiar with the artist name The Writers Block from their previous smash on Ultra Records, ‘Don’t Look Any Further’.

When leaving his feedback on the promo Robbie commented “I would love to remix this.” Well, not one to look a gift horse in the mouth (especially when you consider Rivera has previously remixed artists such as Kylie, Madonna, Faithless, David Guetta and Basement Jaxx) contact was made and less than 2 weeks later the remix in question was complete!

Taking the vibe of the original and adding some extra sass and his trademark tribal touches, Rivera’s remix is right on point.

Basement Jaxx – Never Say Never

Basement Jaxx ‘Junto’ Album + DJ Set at Verboten on July 16

UK’s celebrated Basement Jaxx touch down in Brooklyn for a highly anticipated DJ set at Verboten’s Zeitgeist series on Wednesday, July 16. Nearly four years since their last official album release, Basement Jaxx are also set to release their new album Junto on August 26 via Atlantic Jaxx/PIAS.

Earlier this May, the legendary producer duo of Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe debuted the club-ready, jacking “Unicorn,” the first track to be taken from Junto. It has met with universal praise, working as a perfect taster of what the full length has to offer. Both “Unicorn” and album track “Mermaid Of Salinas” are now available as an instant download with every pre-order of the digital album. Listen to “Unicorn” and “Mermaid Of Salinas” now at:

Junto marks the duo’s seventh studio album and the title, which translates from Spanish as together, sums up the spirit of the record and the very essence of the Jaxx’s desire to unify people with their music. “With this album,” says Felix Buxton, “we wanted to do something that felt more at one with the world.” This approach is reflected in the titles of “Power To The People,” “We Are Not Alone” and “Love Is At Your Side,” as well as the uplifting “Never Say Never” and the throwback fun of “What’s The News” and “Sneakin’ Toronto.”

The last few years have seen the pair take time out to write not one but two film scores (“Attack The Block” and “The Hooping Life”) as well as producing an orchestral album in collaboration with the Metropole Orkest. In 2013 they teased out new music in the form of two tropical cuts “Back 2 The Wild” and “What A Difference Your Love Makes” and played a number of their legendary carnival-esque live shows.

Sensation – Welcome to the Pleasuredome

Released on 4th July via Dutch dance label Be Yourself Music, Sensation – ‘Welcome to the Pleasuredome’ is two CDs of wonderfully varied dance music. Created ahead of the next international Sensation event, Mr. White is the ideal choice to seamlessly blend the first half of this multi-genre collection. With the complete album spanning thirty-nine tracks, there are contributions from an array of high caliber producers – including Dyro, Laidback Luke & D.O.D, Tchami, Basement Jaxx, Chris Lake and Zomboy. Featured remixes include the Axwell remix of Hook N Sling’s ‘Tokyo By Night’ and the Nicky Romero edit of John Christian’s ‘Next Level.’
