Headhunterz reveals new single, ‘Landslide’

Dutch DJ and producer Willem Rebergen aka Headhunterz is back today with a hot new single via Ultra Records. Walking the fine line of creative freedom and success, Headhunterz pulls off an admirable balancing act. Driven by an open mind and the desire to be free of expectations, music has become a playground to the man we know as Headhunterz. The past decade has taken him on a rollercoaster ride of a journey – with roots that have built him a strong and solid ground to start from. Following his own, inner flow, his sounds have grown all the more colorful, genre-bending and unique.

His latest “Landslide” is a synth heavy, downtempo jam with cheeky vocals. “I just want to claim the freedom to make the music I love,” he shares.

Headhunterz character resounds in each of his originals, remixes and sets, celebrated by an engaged, worldwide fan base. He’s collaborated with the likes of Krewella, W&W, Carnage, Crystal Lake, Hardwell, Reunify, R3hab and Steve Aoki. Highlights of his studio experiments include ‘The Universe Is Ours’, ‘The Power of Now’, ‘To Be Me’, ‘Won’t Stop Rocking’ and ‘Live Your Life’. Chart-topping remixes for Kaskade, Hardwell, Armin van Buuren, Zedd and Avicii prove Headhunterz’ move forward, following his instincts and setting new, musical challenges.

Be on the lookout for more creative turns this year from Headhunterz.

Just a Gent – Heavy As A Heartbreak (Lookas & SMLE Remix)

Fresh off their ‘Reasons To’ EP, the elusive SMLE teams up with young blood LOOKAS for a dramatic new offering that brings the heavy.

LOOKAS and SMLE turn the volume way up for their interpretation of Just a Gent’s “Heavy As A HeartBreak”. In amping up the glitch, the guys laser-carve bass swells which carefully cradle the original’s lovestep breaks.

LOOKAS’ basswave will continue to spread by way of his ongoing North America tour, aptly named the ‘Zero Gravity Tour’. Having kicked off last week at OMFG! NYE in San Francisco, the mayhem will ensue in Orlando, Austin, Denver, DC, Philly and beyond. LOOKAS will also join Carnage for an epic night out on March 12th before heading to his hometown for Miami Music Week.

Carnage unveils debut Papi Gordo album out now via Ultra Music

Carnage continues to lead the electronic music scene with genre-defying productions through his debut, hip hop-centric album Papi Gordo.

The 15-track LP out today on Ultra Music sees the raucous beatmaker reach into his wheelhouse to create rap-laden compositions swathed in trapped out beats and distorted synths.

Featuring a variety of hip-hop superstars such as Rick Ross (on his first-ever electronic music collaboration), Migos, ASAP Ferg, OG Maco, iLoveMakonnen and TY Dolla $ign as well as production contributors Tomas Barfod, Timmy Trumpet, Milo & Otis, AraabMuzik and KSHMR, Papi Gordo showcases Carnage’s prowess concocting his trademark sound of rap-fueled electronic music.

Carnage dropped the first single from the Papi Gordo album – turn-up anthem “Bricks” featuring Atlanta-based trio Migos – last summer and has been on a tear through the hip hop world since. This year the audacious producer has released his party-starting collaboration with iLoveMakonnen “I Like Tuh” and the bass-fueled “WDYW” featuring A$AP Ferg, Lil Uzi Vert, and Rich The Kid. Carnage also graced dance fans this summer with his Melbourne bounce-tinged electro thumper “Toca” alongside trumpeter/DJ Timmy Trumpet and rising star producer KSHMR.

Stay tuned for upcoming announcements about the Papi Gordo world tour.
