MK remixes Clean Bandit & Zara Larsson and announces Manchester Area10 party

Internationally renowned DJ, producer, remixer and label owner MK has released a remix for Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson’s smash-hit ‘Symphony’ via Big Beat/Atlantic Records. The remix is available to buy now. Alongside this, the illustrious producer has announced one of his biggest Area10 parties to date, with a showcase at Manchester’s Albert Hall on the 13th April.

Known for his signature deep, 4/4 style, MK turns the pop-infused melody ‘Symphony’ into a club-ready cut. The rework adds hefty low-end and fluttering synths whilst underpinning Zara Larsson’s soaring vocals, creating a melody perfect for peak-time dance floors.

Currently in the middle of his extensive European tour, MK has announced a mammoth Area10 all-night affair at the 2,500 capacity Albert Hall. The line-up consists of friends and his favourite artists with the eccentric Claptone as the special guest for the evening, house aficionado Josh Butler, Camelphat and local DJ duo Olli Ryder & Luke Welsh.

What was once his label at the beginning of his career, MK has turned into a successful event series that has grown rapidly. Hosting showcases all over the world from Croatia to Ibiza to the States key dates include Movement Festival, The Rainbow Venues, We Are FSTVL and hosting his own party at this year’s edition of Hideout Festival.

About
MK was born and grew up in Detroit, the city that has been labeled as the true breeding ground of house and techno music. Over the last few years, MK has swiftly become one of the world’s most in-demand producers and remixers. Several of his earlier releases, including ‘Always’ and ‘Burning’, were instrumental in first helping dance music cross-over into the mainstream. He’s well known for his remix of Storm Queen’s ‘Look Right Through’ – which hit #1 in the UK singles chart – and that of Wankelmut & Emma Louise’s ‘My Head Is A Jungle’. He’s since remixed Lana Del Rey, Sam Smith, Rudimental, Katy B, Bastille, London Grammar, Rufus Du Sol and Pharrell to name but a few; his version of Aurora’s ‘I Went Too Far’ is his latest remix success. He’s also a skilled songwriter and producer in his own right, with ‘My Love 4 You’ featuring A*M*E and ‘Piece of Me’ ft. Becky Hill still tearing up dancefloors since their release in 2016.

Having recently released his debut artist album Charmer, the Berlin based super-producer Claptone is proud to announce his largest tour of the North and central Americas yet. Beginning on January 28th in Philadelphia, the golden-masked performer will be taking his signature organic sound to key venues across the region including Marquee in New York, The Mid in Chicago and Sound Nightclub in LA. He will be spoiling lovers of sophisticated electronic music across five weekends covering spots in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Panama, and the Caribbean with festival plays for Holy Ship! and We Are The Future Festival in Puerto Rico.

In tandem with this step up in frequency on the road, Claptone’s monthly CLAPCAST radio show will now be delivered weekly from December. Hosted by the mysterious golden beaked enigma, the show will now appear on radio stations around the world as well as continuing to be available to download for free on iTunes.

Since the show launched monthly on iTunes there have been over a million downloads from around the globe. Combine this with 200 live performances from Claptone this year alone (including headline appearances at some of the world’s biggest festivals) and you quickly understand the global reach of his mask-loving fans.

As well as a recent four-week takeover of London’s Rinse FM, Claptone has already delivered an exclusive Sirius XM Halloween mix, a minimix for Annie Mac, a 30 minute mix for Annie Nightingale and a masterful Essential Mix for Pete Tong in 2016, successfully taking over the airwaves to the delight of his listeners who’ve cried out for more.

Their pleas have been answered with around 30 radio stations presenting the weekly show with many more in the pipeline moving into 2016. Vessels share Throwing Snow remix + sign to [PIAS] electronic imprint Different Recordings

Vessels mark the end of a remarkable year with the announcement of their signing to Different Recordings – the electronic imprint of [PIAS]. The last twelve months have seen the release of their critically acclaimed album Dilate, coupled with a busy summer itinerary taking in memorable appearances at Benicassim and Latitude, and a series of sold-out European shows including London’s XOYO.
Having created arguably one the finest electronic albums of 2015, the Leeds five-piece have signed a long-term record deal with [PIAS] Different Recordings (Crystal Fighters, Claptone, Anna of the North).

Dilate, the band’s third album, dispensed with the guitar-driven foundations that defined their earlier work in exchange for a lean, techno-inflected pulse that encapsulates the band’s love of fluid electronics and panoramic soundscapes. As a live entity, Vessels have proven an unholy communion, maintaining the crystalline melodies and crushing dynamics of their post-rock past and translating their intricate and euphoric studio creations to the live arena. The next chapter awaits…
