My Digital Enemy ‘Desire Life (Matteo DiMarr & Crazibiza Remixes)’

‘My Digital Enemy’ is a name that has become synonymous with cutting edge house music. The Brighton duo added another huge success to their already impressive back catalogue with ‘Desire Life’, last May released through their own Vudu imprint. Fast forward to 2015 and My Digital Enemy have enlisted the eclectic talents of Matteo DiMarr and Crazibiza to rework their 2014 club mainstay.

Toronto’s Matteo DiMarr’s remix of ‘Desire Life’ carries the positivity of the track’s title. Set to a lighter backdrop than the 2014 version of the track, DiMarr has pitched the instrumentation into a more classic, 90s influenced house sound, complete with throwback piano stabs and a heavier emphasis on the vocal performance buried in the original’s jacking house drums.

If Matteo DiMarr’s remix of ‘Desire Life’ enhanced the track’s pop sensibilities whilst retaining its sense of underground cool, Crazibiza’s reworking delves one step deeper. The Budapest duo have taken the pounding rhythm of the original and shifted its vision towards the dancefloor, almost completely removing the vocals of the original and turning in a club mix-esque interpretation of My Digital Enemy’s composition, sure to be an essential weapon in any DJ’s arsenal.

With the demand for My Digital Enemy’s intense brand of house music increasing rapidly, these hard-hitting reworks of one of their most potent tracks to date could not have come at a better time for the duo. As plans for 2015 develop both with their own music and their Zulu and Vudu imprints, the Matteo DiMarr and Crazibiza remixes of ‘Desire Life’ provide a more than worthy stopgap between now and MDE’s next slice of essential club music.

Seven Lions w/ Myon & Shane 54 ‘Strangers’ (My Digital Enemy Remix)

No stranger to massive remixes after their re-working of Crazibiza’s ‘My Lips’ was the 6th top selling house track on Beatport last year, My Digital Enemy are back and doing it again with their take on Seven Lion’s ‘Strangers’, out now on Interscope.

Already a bona fide club smash in its own right with over 670k plays on Soundcloud, you’d be forgiven for thinking it would be a tough task to improve on the original, but My Digital Enemy prove they are more than up to the challenge.
Providing a dreamy slice of Balearic house as much at home on a beach as it would be on the dance floor, its driving synths and soaring vocal loops are the perfect soundtrack to any night.

With their productions continually in demand, a series of releases on high profile labels such as Toolroom, X Recordings and their own Zulu & Vudu records, the Brighton duo have already seen success this year with standout releases ‘Shamen’, ‘Desire Life’ ‘Bassline Soundz’ and a Beatport number 1 for ‘Don’t Give Up’.

BeatCanteen Records Presents The New John Gold Vs Beatflashers Single & A Killer Remix From Crazibiza

BeatCanteen Records has become a breeding ground for top draw House releases and label boss John Gold is happy to lead by example with his latest offering alongside Beatflashers which features a standout rework from House heavyweights Crazibiza. No doubt one of New York’s best kept secrets, John’s music has been beamed around the world via the likes of Warner Music, clocked up over 1,000,000 copies in compilation sales and been nominated for an International Dance Music Award. It’s safe to say that John truly is a powerhouse in the studio and his DJ sets are just as potent as his production work.

‘Horny’ is a through and through BeatCanteen release. Produced to a world- class level – cool, groovy and stuffed full of melody, bass and rhythmic flavours. Leaning towards the more organic spectrum of the House music world – the producers are all proven talents who are all about that summer vibe that well executed House cuts radiate like no other music can.

The addition of a classy rework from Crazibiza will no doubt ensure the success of this package – a touch of class from a duo that can do no wrong when it comes to top-level organic House productions. Fresh off the back of a Miami WMC tour that saw them take over no less than thirteen venues, it’s safe to say that conference revelers across the city have been enjoying their remix on what’s no doubt the world’s most famous annual electronic music industry gathering.

Beatflashers was setup by three of Hungary’s most prominent talents back in 2012. Zoltan Mate, Attila Bodnar and Laszio Nagy merged their styles to create the unique Beatflashers sound before teaming up with John Gold for a truly global collaboration. Reinforcing this already massive package is a remix roster featuring some of House music’s finest minds. Fronted by Crazibiza’s awesome rework and backed further still by efforts from Funky Truckerz, Kevin Prise and Stereosoulz, rounding up a remix package that’s up there with the best of them.

BeatCanteen don’t know anything but the best in House music and this latest forthcoming release will only enhance that concrete reputation further still. ‘Horny’ is out April 15th.
