Roddy Reynaert and Phi Phi unleash ‘Aokighara’

Prolific Bonzai Progressive artist and purveyor of fine Progressive beats, Phi Phi teams up with Roddy Reynaert for their superb two-tracker ‘Aokighara’. Phi Phi continues to provide the wow factor in everything he touches and with a new partner on board you can be sure that this will be an even greater wow. An exciting dynamic here from these two and we hope to see more from them soon.

‘Aokighara’ is up first and right from the off you are embroiled in the tracks pure Progressive vibes. Leading the way we have a tight drum arrangement that dishes out a solid rhythm with a nice chunky kick drum at the forefront. The bassline drives the track in a wonderful Moroder style that creates depth and a strong dancing groove. Sweeping pads create atmosphere as melodic synths play their part. The track is full of passion and the musical elements deliver a sublime groove, this one is most definitely not to be missed.

‘Haarp’ is one of those tracks that will stand out in any set. The tight drums and shuffling percussions provide a solid platform for the epic acid style track to thrive, and it’s the acid laden groove that hits home here. Firmly rooted in retro with a contemporary twist, this one is going to light up floors for sure. A deep rumbling bassline is overlaid with an ever-rising acid line that ebbs and flows while on the break a classic style trilled synth hypnotizes. A superb slice that will give the old heads much delight and the younger heads something to aspire to and enjoy for all it is, pure class.
