Ephwurd sells out Exchange LA + Free Download

Ephwurd made their Los Angeles debut on Friday to a sold-out, 2000+ person crowd at Exchange Nightclub in downtown. Fans lined up for blocks to catch a glimpse of the bass-bending duo on their first North American mini-tour who threw down a face-melting headlining set to a sweaty room of entranced revelers.

The four-date US run will continue this weekend with a show at Foundation Nightclub on Saturday, January 22, following performances at Pier 94 in New York and Ruby Skye in San Francisco earlier this month.

The duo, comprised of Datsik and his longtime friend Bais Haus, is keeping the party going by unleashing a VIP version of their track “Just Us ft. Liinks” as a free download. Grab your copy now and keep your eyes peeled for more music to come from future bass’ most promising rising stars.

Since catapulting onto the scene with their remix of Major Lazer’s “Lean On” alongside ETC!ETC! last summer, bass-bending duo Ephwurd has been unstoppable. Between teaming up with Jauz to create one of the biggest hits of 2015 “Rock the Party” and remixing Oliver Heldens and Shaun Frank’s Beatport #1 hit “Shades of Grey (feat. Delaney Jane),” the duo comprised of Datsik and his longtime cohort Bais Haus has earned a reputation for igniting dancefloors the world over.

Ephwurd – “Bring It Back”

With their latest single, Ephwurd “Bring It Back” to the old school combining a heavy dose of bass with elements of classic house music. The groovy, Electro banger features distorted vocal samples in the breakdown that progresses smoothly into the high-energy lyrics – “Bring it back to the old school…back back back to the sound of the f*ck you!” As with every Ephwurd release, this new record is all about shaking that ass and flattening the dance floor.

Ephwurd have been on fire in 2015 after making their mysterious debut as a duo in May. It wasn’t long before the masterminds behind this new project were revealed – dubstep/electro legend, Datsik and his tour manager, Bais Haus. Their first release was a remix of Major Lazer’s hit, “Lean On” and then only a few months later they released their biggest original: a collaboration with Jauz on “Rock The Party”. “Rock The Party” has been an absolutely massive hit for Jauz and Ephwurd and has reached nearly 6 million total plays on Soundcloud and YouTube. Ephwurd’s follow up, “Duckface” was one of autumn’s biggest hits and lead into their debut performance on the mainstage of Insomniac’s Escape: Psycho Circus Halloween festival in October. Look out for a run of live dates to start off 2016 and expect to hear about some huge things from this duo in the coming year.

Ephwurd – “Duckface” video + Oliver Heldens Remix

Bass music’s blazing breakout act Ephwurd – comprised of Datsik and his longtime cohort Bais Haus – continues their onslaught of innovative releases this week by dropping a new music video for “Duckface” as well as a remix of Oliver Heldens and Shaun Frank’s “Shades of Grey (feat. Delaney Jane).”

“Duckface” is the duo’s first solo original work, and its music video follows duck puppets straight from Muppets creator Jim Henson’s Studio on a hilarious nightclub escapade as Canadian rapper DKAY vocals instruct revelers to “Snapchat that fat ass, don’t Snapchat no duckface.” Since releasing on Friday, the video has already racked up nearly 300K views.

Today Ephwurd unveiled their future bass remix of Oliver Heldens and Shaun Frank’s Beatport #1 hit “Shades of Grey (feat. Delaney Jane).” Out on Spinnin’ Records, Ephwurd’s rework is one of three on the Beatport exclusive remix package alongside The Golden Boy and Nora En Pure.

Ephwurd first blasted onto the scene in July as an anonymous new artist with their remix of Major Lazer’s “Lean On” alongside ETC!ETC! A week later they revealed their identity as Datsik and Bais Haus, and premiered their first original work in partnership with bass-bending star Jauz titled “Rock The Party.” Quickly becoming the song of the summer, “Rock The Party” received plaudits from Skrillex, Diplo, Axwell & Ingrosso, Alesso, Afrojack and Hardwell amongst others.

The tandem will play their debut live performance next month at Escape on October 31 in San Bernardino.
