ATB Celebrates Twenty-Year Anniversary With Release of Tenth Studio Album, “Next”

AMSTERDAM, April 21st, 2017 – It’s been three long years for ATB fans waiting for a new album to drop, but their patience has finally been rewarded. In the year that marks ATB’s twentieth anniversary as a leading artist in electronic music, he launches his tenth studio album: ‘neXt’.

An exceptional crossover album that digs into modern-day trance music as much as it includes down-tempo gems, ‘neXt’ embodies all twenty years of ATB’s blooming career. It’s a next step in his musical development, delivering on every level while featuring a wide range of collaborations and guest artists across the spectrum. Whereas the first part of ‘neXt’ offers a fresh take on the ATB sound that’s been filling out clubs for two decades, the second part of the album focuses heavily on the chill atmospheres and ambient soundscapes ATB also considers part of his arsenal, totaling to twenty-five new tracks that show just how timeless the ATB sound truly is.

The huge success of ATB started with ‘9PM (Till I Come)’, which earned him a #1 hit in the UK in the late ’90. Since, his musical career has been nothing short of legendary. Previous album ‘Contact’ shot straight into the top 5 of the German charts in 2014 and as a DJ, ATB has headlined festivals all over the world, earning him a coveted Top 20 spot in the list of “Most Popular DJs in the World of All Time”. Judging by the consistent and unwavering support of his social following of over two million strong and the ease with which ATB churns out high-end compositions, there’s a whole lot more to expect from the gifted songwriter, musician, producer and DJ. ‘neXt’ is sure to keep fans satisfied until then.

EP3 with Otto von Schirach & Warrior Queen

Really proud to announce our next EP, Haul & Pull Up EP3! It’s the last EP in the series, and again highlights some facets of our sound, from melodic club cuts to some Footwork and Booty Bass excursions. Quite happy that we already got some radio and DJ support on this from folks like Machinedrum, Rob Da Bank and Jamz Supernova on BBC Radio 1.

You can now listen to the first track of the EP called Electone, its basically music to hug people in the club to.

“The opener Electone is an instrumental excursion into a melodic corner of club music, with lots of intertwined synth layers and a long build up, culminating in a break that will send shivers to ravers and home listeners alike. This “club love song with no words” is named after the Yamaha Electone organ it was written on.

Following this is Take It Low, another true soundsystem weapon featuring longtime collabo partner Doubla J from Costa Rica. Stripped down to the basics, this bass monster combines both dancehall and booty bass rhythm structures and lets them collide with the well timed vocals while diving into some dubby goodness.

Pump Drop Wine ups the tempo again, coming in at 150 bpm of ultimate rolling bassline heaven. With little more than the catchy meandering vocal to complement the beat, it is all about this disgustingly good sounding bassline that makes this a club sureshot. “This is the part where you pump drop wine and repeat.”

Always good for a surprising collabo, Bene and Jakob finish this EP off with their quite special version of Bitch Better Have My Money (you know, the AMG one). With no other than Miamis finest Otto Von Schirach on vocals, this 1991 cut gets transported to an 2017 club enviroment with ease. ”

All Haul & Pull Up releases are excursions into different kinds of hybrid club music and draw connections to the soundsystem roots of pretty much all of the subgenres and music production styles we love.
