Fono’s Kinetic EP is out now

Following on from his debut hit Real Joy, which was heavily supported by the likes of Annie Mac, Todd Edwards and Zane Lowe, and the impeccable follow up Everybody Knows, Brighton producer Fono is releasing his debut 5¬track EP ‘Kinetic’ on Polydor Records.

Opening track CLOUD 9 provides a smooth introduction to the EP with reverbed female vocals from Australian singer, E^ST whose vocals float on top of modulating piano melodies and house beats, with Fono’s signature synth sounds later entering the track. The more up¬tempo Feet On The Ground is armed with bouncy synth chords, club¬facing beats and soaring female vocals, playing true testament to the EP’s title.

Levitate is an amalgamation of catchy hi¬hats, booming bass lines and jumpy synth melodies, whilst NRG is punctuated by buzzy synth chords which compliment the pitched down vocals and drive the track as the infectious synth hooks push it over the edge into a plethora of infectious club grooves. Providing a polished finale to the EP, final track Light Up features the male vocals of D/C whose smooth vocals provide the perfect counterpoint to the low¬end grooves.

About Fono:

Fono’s precise and forward thinking approach to house music has already landed him in the good graces of a diverse dance music elite, following his global smash Real Joy and his follow upEverybody Knows feat. Anna Straker. Fono has also provided remixes for the likes of Duke Dumont, Major Lazer and Years and Years.
Having forged his love of dance music as a club promoter through his teens in Brighton, UK, Fono continues his commitment to the electronic scene by curating his own UK club night, aptly namedFor The Future. The first of which kicked off in Brighton, with sets from the cream of young UK producing talent including Salute, Karma Kid, Lxury and Fono himself.

Hayden James returns with new single, ‘Just A Lover’

It’s been an unstoppable ride for Sydney’s Hayden James. Summer’s eternal hit ‘Something About You’ swept across clubs, radios and festival floors globally in 2015 – as the producer embarked on extensive world tours with the likes of Duke Dumont, ODESZA and support duties for Disclosure. Now preparing for several high profile US gigs at Webster Hall in New York, Firefly Festival in Delaware, Electric Forest in Michigan and Lollapalooza in Chicago, as well as huge performances internationally at Glastonbury, Latitude and Roskilde, Hayden James is ready to take it to the next level. The producer today shares his brand new single, “Just a Lover”.

An androgynous vocal, singing to a temporary lover, locks with driving bass lines and mesmerizing harmonies. Anthemic hooks deliver a song of desire and lust on “Just A Lover”, that’s searching, reminiscing, and hoping to reconnect all at the same time.

Hayden James’ debut track ‘Permission To Love’ garnered worldwide love in 2013, hitting the coveted #1 most-blogged spot on Hype Machine, and becoming one of the most played tracks on triple j radio in Australia. What followed was a debut EP release on Future Classic, a string of remixes for RUFUS, Dillon Francis & T.E.E.D, Safia, Duke Dumont and ODESZA, and two Australian national tours. BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong labelled his follow-up ‘Something About You’ a song to watch in 2015. Their prediction was spot on, with the radio favorite now past Gold sales in Australia and becoming a certified global dance hit. Scoring an ARIA nomination for ‘Best Dance Release’ and landing #44 on triple j’s Hottest 100 countdown, to date ‘Something About You’ has had over 40 million online plays and counting.

Currently on a headline tour across Europe and the US, warming up for a stunning show at Lollapalooza – and with more new music just around the corner – ease the anticipation with another interstellar single from Hayden James.

Watch the official video to TCTS’ new single, ‘Live For Something’

Manchester-born Sam O’Neill, better known as TCTS, is back with another exciting, club-ready production to follow up the success of recent single, ’Jelly’. New single ‘Live For Something’ is now out on Polydor, tapping firmly into the buzz already surrounding his name.

An infectiously upbeat track, ‘Live For Something’ features a 2-step beat, summery piano chords, deep synth melodies and a bouncing bassline underpinning the soulful vocals that lead it. Due for release just ahead of the festival season, ‘Live For Something’ feels like a perfect summer anthem in waiting.

It’s accompanied by an effective, cleverly-shot video. Showcasing the skills of three hip hop dancers, the video features a dance routine routine perfectly choreographed to fit the song, shot with a variety of different lighting and effects.

Touted as an artist to watch by leading dance music press, as a DJ, TCTS has shared line-ups with the likes of Disclousre, Jackmaster, Todd Terje and Duke Dumont, touring alongside Bondax and Chase & Status. He’s also remixed for artists such as Watermat, Haim, Years & Years, Jessie Ware and Snakehips. He’s well-known for his production ability, with his previous EPs coming out on respected labels MTA Records and Greco-Roman, and receiving heavy rotation at BBC Radio 1 & 1xtra. He launched his own label, Make Something, earlier this year with the release of his single ‘Jelly’.

‘Jelly’, the new club weapon from TCTS, (aka Manchester-born Sam O’Neill), proves yet again why he’s one of the UK’s most exciting producers. His first output of 2016, it’s also the debut single off his new label, Make Something, and was premiered by Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1.

The track itself is a tribute to everything that made him want to DJ: the Manchester club scene, off-the-radar warehouse parties and four-to-the-floor kick drums. And that’s exactly what you hear – a near-hypnotic, stripped-back club roller, punctuated by a classic, pitched-down vocal sample.

Touted as an artist to watch by leading dance music press, as a DJ, TCTS has shared line-ups with the likes of Disclosure, Jackmaster, Todd Terje and Duke Dumont, and toured with both Bondax and Chase & Status. He’s also remixed tracks for artists such as Watermat, Haim, Years & Years, Jessie Ware and Snakehips.

‘Jelly’ is released out now via Make Something.

About Make Something
Make Something, a label established to house TCTS’ own work, as well as serve as a creative platform for new and emerging artists, will see ‘Jelly’ mark its inaugural release on March 4th. Its sole purpose – and ethos – is to support and promote artists making great music.
