Annie Mac’s Lost and Found festival: Castle and Boat parties revealed for Malta weekender

Having revealed huge headline sets from Armand Van Helden, Jamie Jones, J.E.S.u.S (Jackmaster, Eats Everything, Seth Troxler & Skream) and Giggs for Annie Mac’s Lost & Found Festival, details for this year’s extra-curricular excursions have now been announced.

Already bringing a hype-worthy line-up of selectors to the Easter bank holiday celebrations, Annie Mac will again hold her crowning castle rave, while boat parties sail from the harbor. Blasting out summer vibes from the balcony of a regal heritage manor that looks over the Mediterranean island, festival curator Annie is confirmed to headline amongst hand-picked acts Kölsch and Eats Everything.

Out at sea, boat parties will provide an intimate chance to catch the hottest DJs whilst cruising under the sun – with Yousef, Solardo and Melé confirmed to board Friday’s showcase, and Dusky welcoming exciting up and comer Denis Sulta on the Saturday. All this aside the daily festival schedule, Lost and Found will also mark Annie’s first DJ performance in over 6 months and promises a bank holiday weekend that’s one to remember.

Almost reaching the halfway point of the residency this season, Paradise prepares for its 6th week as Jamie Jones returns to the terrace at DC-10 – bringing his ‘Virtual Trip’ to life.

This week the Hot Creations label head goes b2b with electronic heavyweight Joseph Capriati who – alongside Eats Everything – makes his joint return to this week’s line-up. In addition to this, expect to witness a rare live performance from Colin McBean – better known as pioneer of self-certified Phoenix G label, Mr.G.

Canadian producer and one half of acclaimed duo Art Department – Kenny Glasgow – graces the DC-10 terrace once again this summer as well as legendary Fabric resident and musical director Craig Richards. Marking his one off appearance at Paradise this year, Benny Rodrigues flies the Dutch flag, with residents Mark Jenkyns & Russ Yallop rounding off another hazy ‘Virtual Trip’ at DC-10.

Tastefully tailoring the prolific residency will be bespoke, animated artwork based on a 1980’s virtual reality world. Known for going above and beyond with their set design and the infamous Paradise girls, expect them to go that extra mile for their 5th anniversary. To top off this year, Paradise will also be delivering a weekly radio show recorded each week via Ibiza Sonica from their signature airstream.

Eats Everything presents his new fabric 86 promo mix

To kick off 2016, Eats Everything has stepped up to join the fabric compilation series, which has a reputation for hosting mixes from seminal artists like John Digweed, Andrew Weatherall, Tony Humphries, Adam Beyer, Ricardo Villalobos, Marco Carola and many more. It’s a notable highlight for Eats, who first took on the famous fabric decks in 2011 and has been returning ever since. To celebrate the release, Dan has unveiled a promo mix to give everyone a first taste of the compilation – the mix was recorded live at fabric on NYE.

The result is a musical treat for lovers of all shades of house, from the classic to the modern. One thing that unites the records in the mix, as Eats explains, is that they all “have had some kind of meaning to me and I have played every one of them at fabric… some are old, some are new, some are bangers, some are groovers, some are trippy, some are euphoric, but they are all ‘fabric records’ and that’s what this mix is all about.”

Included in the mix are two special new tracks – Lauren Lane’s playful ‘The Diary of a Madwoman’, released on Eats Everything’s own imprint, Edible, and ‘Baby Talk’, a production that Cajmere created especially for this mix.

fabric 86 marks the start of what looks set to be a significant year for Eats Everything. He worked non-stop throughout 2015 to build his label and event series Edible, all whilst touring relentlessly. 2016 sees the release schedule for Edible picking up pace, whilst Eats has a collaboration with house legend Green Velvet lined up, as well as productions on both Edible and Pets Recordings.

‘Content Part One’ feat Eats Everything & Franck Roger

2020Vision celebrates its 20th anniversary in style this year. As ever, the UK label will do things differently – no dwelling on times past and no back catalogue rehash. Instead, 2020Vision will release ‘Content’, a compilation mixed by Ralph Lawson featuring 20 exclusive new original tracks and remixes from a dizzying array of arch collaborators. This album will be augmented by a series of parties across the planet including Fabric, Sonar, Hideout, Ibiza, Berlin, New York, Los Angeles, Milan, Munich, Zurich, Glasgow, Leeds and beyond.

The label is releasing the first two tracks from the album this week. First up is Eats Everything with ‘Adam’, and Franck Roger’s ‘Too Blind To See’. Both are currently available to buy via Juno and Phonica, and can be streamed via 2020Vision’s Soundcloud page.

You can tell a lot about a label by the friends it keeps, especially when those friends include Matthew Herbert, Eats Everything, Simian Mobile Disco, Groove Armada, Cassy, Matthias Tanzmann, Psychemagik, Dense & Pika, Tom Trago, Huxley, Waze & Odyssey, Ejeca, PBR Streetgang, Doc Daneeka and Citizen among them. A formidable assembly of the world’s top electronic music talent by anyone’s measure, but put in the context of one album, it makes ‘Content’ a strong contender for compilation of the year from the tracklist alone.

2020Vision was founded on a farm in the Rhubarb Triangle Leeds, UK in 1994. On the surface, it was an odd home for the label that’s helped launch the careers of Maya Jane Coles, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Huxley, Ame, DJ T, Ivan Smagghe, Paul Woolford, Audiojack, Simon Baker, PBR Streetgang, Subb-an, FCL, Fred Everything, Spirit Catcher, Tuccillo and more recently, Citizen, plus album artists such as Crazy P, 2020Soundsystem, Greg Wilson, Stacey Pullen, Deadbeats, Random Factor and Debukas.
