10 years ago, back in February 2003 in Montmartre (Paris, France), Pedro Winter aka Busy P created Ed Banger Records, home to Justice, Sebastian, Mr Oizo, Feadz and more.

The rise of the label has been something of a phenomenon, with its artists touring worldwide with DJ and/or live performances at sold out venues, each appearance always long awaited and celebrated like the coming of the messiah by thousands of kids from each and every part of the world.

Drawing on the street energy of hip hop, rock’s explosion and the hypnotic compression of techno music, but remaining open to all other influences, the sound of the label, mostly electronic and saturated, has become a trademark, registered worldwide. The revered roster and SO:ME’s post-cartoon imaging are practically pop culture icons, especially within the world of new media (blogs, forums, social networks) where Ed Banger remains at the top of their game.

For 127 years, Webster Hall has captivated crowds as New York City’s largest and longest-running nightclub and live music entertainment venue – spanning 4 levels and 40,000 square feet. Webster Hall has established its reputation as an authority on music and parties in New York City and in the world of electronic music. Webster Hall has fostered the growth of legendary artists from The Studio (its 300-person concert venue located on the lower-level) to the Grand Ballroom (its 1500-person concert venue) and beyond.

As the co-creators of the notorious Girls & Boys and ‘brite nites’ parties, Webster Hall has hosted world-renowned electronic acts such as Kavinsky, Bloody Beetroots, A-Trak, Skrillex, and countless others within its historic walls. Over the past 6 years, Webster Hall’s history with Ed Banger Records has been cemented through massive, sold-out shows with artists such as Justice, Busy P, Mr. Oizo, Sebastian, Riton, and most recently Breakbot. Witness the excitement here: bit.ly/17f6N9v. Webster Hall is thrilled to bring this monumental event to another remarkable theater in New York City music history, the Hammerstein Ballroom.

Justice – Access All Arenas (Album)

Justice – Helix EP

Fresh off their new EP, the infamous French duo, Justice, comes back with five tracks off Ed Banger Records. This new EP includes their original mixes to ‘Presense’ and ‘Ohio’ as well as extended remixes to ‘Helix’ by Gesaffelstein and Domineco Torti, both adding some avant-gardesque twists to it.

Justice – Helix (Gesaffelstein Vision Remix)

French producer Gesaffelstein has a dark, unique style that, to some, may be an acquired taste. If you are patient, though, and allow yourself to enter his trance, the reward is enormous. His latest reworking of the legendary Justice‘s “Helix” is a great example of Gesaff’s funky, filthy bass lines that dare you not to gig. Although it is just Monday, this progressive banger should help bring the weekend to your headphones a bit early. His sound also fits perfectly for inducing extreme focus while on the daily grind.

Justice – New Lands (A-Trak Remix)

Fool’s Gold founder, A-Trak, lends his unique style and personality to the forthcoming Justice New Lands EP set to be released on Ed Banger Records later this month. Mr. Macklovitch morphs the original’s prog-rock style into a a bouncey, dancefloor-friendly production that oozes with all the groove we’ve come to expect from an A-Trak release.  Intricately layered and impossibly funky this track is yet another reason why A-Trak continues to rank amongst the top producers in the game right now.
