June 4th through 7th, electronic/rock trio The Glitch Mob will be headlining at X Games Austin 2015 alongside Nicki Minaj and recently-announced headliners Metallica. To prepare the masses for this titanic clash of music and action sports, The Glitch Mob have just released a fiery remix of Metallica’s “Lords of Summer,” which is being used as X Games Austin 2015’s official anthem and is featured in the ad campaign for the event that launched this week. It will also be integrated into the ABC and ESPN telecasts and The Glitch Mob’s Sunday performance at Circuit of The Americas.

The Glitch Mob have remixed the song in headbanging electro style, creating a fitting homage that retains a definite metal/hard rock influence. Stream the remix via Soundcloud and grab a free download below.

“Metallica is one of the greatest, heaviest, and most significant bands of all time. They defined heavy music as we know it today,” said The Glitch Mob. “We listened to their catalog religiously. “And Justice For All” is one of the greatest albums ever—it has an immersive narrative, deep emotion, and gnarly power. Our mission has always been to bring that same raw energy into our own electronic music. It was a true honor to remix Metallica: to collaborate with our heroes.”

The trio has also announced a string of spring and summer tour dates, including festival appearances at Sasquatch, Electric Zoo, and Northcoast, co-headlining California shows with Chromeo at Santa Barbara Bowl and Berkeley’s legendary Greek Theater, and performances at both HARD Red Rocks and HARD Summer, as well as several one-off shows. Vicetone’s “No Way Out” ft. Kat Nestel Out Now + Vegas Residency Launch

Vicetone, one of dance music’s most technically skilled production teams, enters 2015 with their latest single “No Way Out” featuring American singer/songwriter Kat Nestel. Held to the utmost quality, the duo delivers “No Way Out” with their distinctive harmonic and melody-driven sound. With dazzling peaks, California native Kat Nestel’s sunny vocals soar as Vicetone’s piano-led melody reverberates through your soul. “No Way Out” is currently supported by the likes of Avicii, Martin Garrix, Hardwell, Nicky Romero, Tiësto and many more top DJs.

“Working with Kat and Clarence Coffee (co-writer) was an absolute joy and pleasure. They have a lot of synergy together and it’s amazing to work with such talented musicians. It was one of the first writing sessions we did in Los Angeles and a very memorable one for sure – we’re very happy with how the track turned out and can’t for our fans to hear it!,” Vicetone says.

Already considered a “must-hear” act by major players within the industry, Vicetone have graced the stages of some of the world’s most internationally renowned clubs and festivals including TomorrowWorld, Ultra Music Festival, and Electric Zoo. Today marks another incredible milestone for the guys who announce their residency at Las Vegas hotspot, the recently renovated Drais Nightclub. Vicetone’s first performance will take place on Saturday, February 21st.

“We’re delighted to have signed our residency at Drais Vegas. We have loved it every time we played there and the vibe of the club is spectacular. We’re happy to be part of the talented lineup this year and can’t wait to play our first show,” Vicetone adds.

2014 was a breakout year for Vicetone; rising through the ranks of the DJ Mag Top 100 poll (coming in at #36), racking up five HypeM #1’s, performing on multiple tours all over the world including a six-week sold out North American tour, and playing internationally renowned clubs and festivals such as TomorrowWorld, Ultra Music Festival and Electric Zoo. Musically, Vicetone dropped the #1 Beatport smash “Let Me Feel,” Top 10 (prog house) stormer “United We Dance” (the official Ultra Music Festival Anthem) and “What I’ve Waited For (Ft. D. Brown)” . Having grown exponentially in such a short period of time, this is just the beginning of an incredible year.
