Steven Maar and The Trixx team up for ‘Till The Sky Is Falling’

Croatian stars, Steven Maar & The Trixx have each caught the attention of clubland as individuals in recent years, releasing on labels such as Laidback Luke’s Mixmash Records, Digital Empire and Recovery House and have been responsible for remixing everyone from Freemasons to Tiesto & Don Diablo. Steven Maar has seen his work rewarded with a place in Beatport’s Electro House Top 10 chart for ‘Phenomenal’ while The Trixx placed in the Top 30 of DMC’s Miami Buzz Chart with the hit ‘Forever’. Such accolades were noticed over at Noise Control HQ who moved quickly to secure the services of the duo for their first release on the Glasgow-based off-shoot of Peak Hour Music, and the result is the stunning ‘Till The Sky Is Falling’.

Featuring immaculate vocals from Vin Harris, ‘Till The Sky Is Falling’ is a melodic epic which EDM fans will rightly be very excited about. With obvious influences coming from classic Trance and Electro House this peak time anthem is a constant crescendo of euphoria which will doubtless be given heavy rotation by some of the scenes A-listers on some of the world’s biggest stages.

Nuri – Drop That Bass

Talented DJ and producer Nuri is putting out a consistent streak of high quality releases which are turning many heads within the Dance music realm. His latest effort is a free track by the name of ‘Drop That Bass’, following up on the acclaim received for two other free downloads, ‘Summer’ and ‘Twist’, which he released a few weeks ago.

The Kenya based talent has also been the mastermind of other wonders such as his debut single ‘Blue Lagoon’, ‘Reasons’, ‘India’ and ‘Right Back’ which also landed Beatport’s ‘Electro House Top 100’ chart. ‘Drop That Bass’ is seeking to add more weight to Nuri’s growing reputation and is once again a showcase of his eclectic style and deep knowledge of diverse styles.

Whilst Nuri is mostly known for his EDM flavours, inspired by the likes of: KSHMR, DVBBS, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Avicii, Martin Garrix and Swedish House Mafia, he frequently experiments with Hip-Hop, Dubstep and many other electronic music styles, offering a truly unique blend of sonic flavours.

His newest release ‘Drop That Bass’ is an EDM infused Progressive House track, boasting Nuri’s signature. Uplifting synth melodies drive the single forward, whilst pumping bassy elements provide a punchy rhythmic foundation. Euphoric elements collide with dark, deep segments, whilst the vocals provide the necessary spice. Nairobi based, up-and-coming DJ and producer Nuri is set to continue his industrious production streak with yet another powerful release. After his incredible debut single ‘Blue Lagoon’ and a successful follow up track, ‘Right Back’, which landed Beatport’s ‘Electro House Top 100’ chart, he is now eyeing the ‘Darker Than Blood Remix Competition’.

Inspired by Dance music heavyweights like: KSHMR, DVBBS, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Avicii, Martin Garrix and Swedish House Mafia, Nuri has managed to come up with his own flavours of EDM, influenced by various electronic music genres and his Hip Hop roots. Wavo and Ultra Music have called producers worldwide to put their twist on Steve Aoki and Linkin Park’s latest collaboration by the name of ‘Darker Than Blood’ and Nuri has answered the call with an exhilarating Electro House effort.

Boasting an instant forceful introduction, ‘Darker Than Blood (Nuri Remix)’’ is off to an intense start. A heavy groove is joined by a subby bass-line, before transcending into an up-lifting melody. A massive ascension leads into a vocal-led breakdown, before momentum is built up with a euphoric synth melody and an array of tasty effects. Infected Mushroom ‘Friends On Mushrooms Vol 3’ Out Now on Dim Mak

Israeli mega-legends Infected Mushroom need no introduction. Best known as sonic innovators of psy-trance, the duo’s musical kingdom is one of the strongest in electronic dance music. Following the huge success of Friends on Mushrooms Vol. 1 and 2, the sub-genre pioneers are back with Vol. 3, complete with hypnotic arrangements, complex layered melodies, and synthetic rhythms.

Twice ranked amongst the world’s “10 Best DJ’s” by the Bible of the Scene (U.K.’s DJ Magazine), Infected Mushroom’s 1999 breakthrough album The Gathering firmly established them in the goa / psy-trance world.
