Firebeatz & JoeySuki – Reckless (Original Mix)

Dutch producers Firebeatz and JoeySuki teamed up to release their latest effort, “Reckless,” on Spinnin’ Records yesterday. “Reckless” — a follow-up to their respective hits, “Miniman” and “Kiwistick” – offers a melodic synth break and pulsing electro bassline, which has already attracted support from the likes of Afrojack and Sander van Doorn. Head over to Beatport to purchase the track and keep an eye out for for the two DJs as they continue to make names for themselves.

Wolfgang Gartner – Redline (Original Mix)

Wolfgang Gartner recently collaborated with Tiesto on “We Own The Night” for his Club Life Miami compilation, and now he is back with a new track all his own. It looks like some of Tiesto’s influence may have rubbed off on Wolfgang, whose new track “Redline” is a departure from past productions. The new offering is uncharacteristically melodic for a Gartner track, with substantial synth sounds and relatively mellow electro elements. We like the melody and the build a lot, and it shows Wolfgang’s ability to experiment with different types of sounds. It feels like the kind of track that would benefit from an acapella immensely, so we’re excited to see what sorts of combinations DJs can come up with. It’s available now on Ultra Records.

Oh My! – Dirty Dancer (Alvin Risk Remix)

Eva Simons – I Don’t Like You (Taxidermy Remix)

Taxidermy are an up and coming electro-house duo based out of the New York City area. Their unique blend of dutch style breakdowns, big room chords and bone-rattling electro drops are the perfect party music. Their remix of “I Don’t Like You” is an aggressive rendition of Eva Simons’ original, coupling her gorgeous vocals with driving electro synthesizers and a chirpy dutch house breakdown. With recent support from Tom Colontonio and a new original release on Robot Dance Records, these two are destined to blow up in NYC scene.

James Egbert – Back To New (3LAU Remix)

Released by Fuzion Muzik, 3LAU’s remix to fellow young electro producer James Egbert’s tune is a slamming good time. So you can feel good about buying the track, not only becuase all your friends will love you for playing it for them, but also because you’re donating to a good cause.

Don Diablo – Silent Shadows (Qulinez Remix)

Alexander Lager and Johannes Gustafsson, the Swedish duo otherwise known as Qulinez, released their remix of Don Diablo’s “Silent Shadows” on Columbia Records today. As a follow-up to recent successful productions including “A Heavy Abacus” and “Troll,” Qulinez’s latest remix continues in the vein of their signature electro style. While maintaining the chord progression and wobbly undertones of Don Diablo’s original, Qulinez adds a building, whiny synth coupled with a heavy electro kickdrum.

Styles & Complete – Hold On Little Girl (Original Mix)

They’ve become known for their crunked out “dirty south electro swag,” Styles & Complete is taking a bit of a different turn with their new original track, Hold On Little Girl.  The track uses a brooding, yet soulful sample that belies the heavy drop.  The track was produced with carefully arranged drums, crushing synths, and well-crafted melodies, making this quite the tune.  The Carolina boys are currently on tour throughout the South, and you should definitely try and find a show near you!

Analog People In A Digital World – Rose Rouge (Tocadisco Remix)

With all the big releases this week, Tocadisco may have stolen the show for electro lovers.

The lovely ‘Put your hands together’ sample makes the song. Hand down. Tocadisco’s electro arrangement around it is makes the remix (hands down.)

An electro track like the one’s your father used to like (father meaning you two years ago before dub step became truly relevant.)

CAZZETTE vs N.W.A. – Straight Outta Compton (CAZZETTE’s Ass Sniffin’ Hounds Bootleg)

Reworking the classic, iconic N.W.A. “Straight Outta Compton” into an electro house track and making it work is more than a daunting task. Yet who better to fuse the best elements of old school hip hop with the infectious energy of electro house than Cazzette? Is anything out of the range of possibilities for the young, prospering Swedish duo? I would argue no. Having turned the theme of Dexter into a bone-chilling banger, successfully remixed the likes of Guetta, Avicii, Jay Z & Kanye, and previewed tantalizing originals such as “The Rat“, Cazzette are making major headway in the EDM world and inspiring massive hype around their unique blend of dub house.

Free n Losh – Meanwhile, In The Batcave… (Original Mix)

Over the last couple of years, there have been fewer concentrated scenes than Toronto’s to really produce a fresh crop of talent.  Between Zeds Dead and The Killabits, the scene is gaining real credibility in the EDM world.  With that said, Free N Losh is a young upstart duo from Toronto that has started to really find their sound.  Their recently released and appropriately named mixtape, M.V.P (Most Versatile Producers) showcases their wide range of influences and sounds.  They produce hip-hop, dubstep, and house.  One of their tracks Got You was even picked up by Pittsburgh’s Mac Miller.  The point is, these kids have the chops to make it.

Their track, Meanwhile, In The Batcave… is the duo’s fresh hand at their unique blend of Nu-Disco, electro, and dubstep.  The piano driven melodies, discoteque leads, and heavy electro-fused basslines make this quite the track.  Add in the dubstep-esque breakdown in the last third of the track, and you have the makings of a party-starter.  The song’s pop/disco flavor is complemented well with the fat synths, but most of all, it is the mastering (they handled it themselves) and production value of this track that make it stand out to me.  Disco is making a comeback.
