ATB Celebrates Twenty-Year Anniversary With Release of Tenth Studio Album, “Next”

AMSTERDAM, April 21st, 2017 – It’s been three long years for ATB fans waiting for a new album to drop, but their patience has finally been rewarded. In the year that marks ATB’s twentieth anniversary as a leading artist in electronic music, he launches his tenth studio album: ‘neXt’.

An exceptional crossover album that digs into modern-day trance music as much as it includes down-tempo gems, ‘neXt’ embodies all twenty years of ATB’s blooming career. It’s a next step in his musical development, delivering on every level while featuring a wide range of collaborations and guest artists across the spectrum. Whereas the first part of ‘neXt’ offers a fresh take on the ATB sound that’s been filling out clubs for two decades, the second part of the album focuses heavily on the chill atmospheres and ambient soundscapes ATB also considers part of his arsenal, totaling to twenty-five new tracks that show just how timeless the ATB sound truly is.

The huge success of ATB started with ‘9PM (Till I Come)’, which earned him a #1 hit in the UK in the late ’90. Since, his musical career has been nothing short of legendary. Previous album ‘Contact’ shot straight into the top 5 of the German charts in 2014 and as a DJ, ATB has headlined festivals all over the world, earning him a coveted Top 20 spot in the list of “Most Popular DJs in the World of All Time”. Judging by the consistent and unwavering support of his social following of over two million strong and the ease with which ATB churns out high-end compositions, there’s a whole lot more to expect from the gifted songwriter, musician, producer and DJ. ‘neXt’ is sure to keep fans satisfied until then.

Flite Drops Stunning 5-Track EP Properly Titled, “The Cure”

The Legends – Nightshift – Labrador Records 21 April (Electronic / Synth / Pop)

Released 21 April 2017 via Labrador Records

The Legends’ ”Nightshift” is an album brimful of lazy space-funk, noir-electro and feral pop frenzy.

The album kickstarts with ”Cash” which displays a newly-won confidence.
-I’m the kind of guy that everybody wants to be / They’re throwing all their cash on me.

“I’ve never cared much about what people are gonna think of my music. If I did I’d be the biggest artist on the planet. But even with my standards, ”Nightshift” is an unusually free album. I’ve totally skipped the whining. I don’t know if it’s a happy album – it’s not like I’m a newborn Christian – , it’s more of ”eat-your-SSRIs-and-shut-up-and-enjoy-yourself-for-fucks-sake” kind of album. With people like Trump, Putin and Jinping ruling and ruining the world I need this more than ever.”, The Legends’ Johan Angergård states.

Many assumed The Legends had resigned after 2009’s angst-ridden noise pop output ”Over And Over”. Then, he suddenly reappeared six years later on Brooklyn’s Cascine label with the nervous love album ”It’s Love”. The lead single ”Keep Him” seemed to have a strong emotional impact on fragile hearts and quickly got 150.000 plays on Soundcloud.

“Cascine has great people and I value Jeff’s opinion on music. I needed his feedback on my songs back then. But I’m more self-confident today and figured I might as well go all DIY again. As much as I love other people, there’s just no opinion I value higher than my own right now.”

For ”Nightshift”, The Legends has “high-teched” his studio equipment, bought a bunch of vocoders and analogue synthesizers and listened to the funkiest electronic music he could find:
– I love Futurism. I love the dynamism of modern technology. I love the endless possibilities.

The Legends seem to be in a good place right now. “Nightshift” might be a night album, but it’s lit up by neon.

Heerhorst – Pandora Ep

It’s time for the 8th release on Subdimension Records, and it comes by Heerhorst, who presents us “Pandora Ep”.

Those are three tracks for the late night sets, soaked with vicious synth riffs, moody atmospheres and banging grooves. Enjoy and don’t forget to let us know what you think about this great ep.

VIVa Warriors returns to Sankeys Ibiza for 2 Dates in 2017

Illustrious DJ and producer Steve Lawler has announced two exclusive Warriors events at Sankeys, Ibiza. One of the most popular parties on the island, Warriors will be returning on the 1st June and 4th October.

With the line ups unknown for now, the party has previously hosted a wealth of incredible talent from the global electronic music scene including the likes of Guti, Skream, Derrick Carter, Groove Armada and Hot Since 82. Boasting a mixture of upcoming and established artists, Warriors brings together some of Ibiza’s most-loved DJs and new, exciting talent for a night of high quality underground music.

The Warriors brand has become synonymous with Ibiza over the past 5 years, with its steady dominance cementing its status as the go-to Sunday party. Oozing its own sense of identity the brand has created a cult following and while Lawler is pressing the stop button on Warriors’ Balearic dwellings, Ibiza revellers will still get cut of the action with two dates in the bank.

The announcement follows on from the exciting news that Steve Lawler will be returning to the old Space venue this year for an unmissable Hï Ibiza residency with Nic Fanciulli and Luciano among others. As Ibiza continues to evolve, the spirit lives on as the parties and residents continue to stay true the underground club culture that the island has always been renowned for.
