Bay Area based psydub producer and multi-instrumentalist Illuminertia releases his newest EP Akasha, a downtempo and ambient trip hop album. Upon listening to this stunning EP you’ll enter a sensual world of electronic meets organic instrumentation. The arrangements are comprised of organic beats, symphonic layerings and soaring female vocals. It’s a highly danceable poly-rhythmic creation that will take you on an enchanted inspiring adventure with roots in global grooves, break beats, chill trap and divine orchestral arrangements. If you’re looking for an uplifting next level musical experience then this is it.
This EP starts with Goodbye, a feature with Gonjasufi. We’re really happy to finally release this monster of a track. It came together after meeting him and talking about a collabo years ago. It took us quite a while to get it off the ground, but finally it turned out to be a really special song, full of drones, noise, acid and dark shadows.
Besides that, we also got Pop Off with longtime collaborator Doubla J from Costa Rica on vocal duties. This is pretty much how we think a club track should sound like in 2017. You can probably hear our love for all things Footwork, Dancehall and Rap on this one.
Ending the EP is U Mad with Warrior Queen on the drop, an uptempo track usefull for both your regular club work out as well as for testing the sub bass capabilities on your stereo device.
All Haul & Pull Up releases are an excursion into different kinds of hybrid club music and draw connections to the soundsystem roots of pretty much all of the subgenres and music production styles we love.
The band members August “ELOQ” Fenger, Anders “Unkwon” Dixen and Martin “Dj Er Du Dum Eller Hvad” Skovbjerg had been friends and big fans of each other for a long time. Without any expectations and no other goal than to have fun, the three friends travelled to a remote cottage in Denmark to make music and hang out, which resulted in them becoming a band.
The fact that friendship is the core of AV AV AV is especially present in the track “About You” which was written during a rough time. August and Anders created the first tones of the track one day in the studio, forwarding the track to Martin as an uplifting thought, as he had spent the day at the hospital with his mum who was battling cancer.
In the music video you also get a special insight into their friendship and the energy that the music emerges from – mixed with concert footage from the past years.
Following the release of their critically acclaimed debut EP “They Live” last year, AV AV AV received a lot of attention internationally, from airplay on BBC’s Radio 1 to compliments from Diplo who referred to the music as “Future Gospel”.
“It was a strange experience – we went from sitting and playing around with music in a cottage, to all of a sudden noticing on snapchat that Diplo and Skrillex were listening to our EP in their private jet,” says a surprised band.
In Denmark the group won the prestigious Critics Choice Award in the category ‘Producer of the Year’. The Jury explained the sound with the words: “A nightlife euphuism…with AV AV AV you’re not just getting one, but three of the best producers in Denmark.”
AV AV AV’s first live performance was proof of their great artistic depth as a live act when they played to a sold out concert hall at the Danish National Radio last year. Since then, they have played a sold out Club NME at KOKO in London and other critically acclaimed concerts at By:Larm, Sonár Reykjavik/Stockholm/Copenhagen & Roskilde Festival to mention a few.
“Our intention is to become one of the best live acts in the world within the next couple of years”, the band says. “Our focus is to use an extraordinary amount of resources to take the live experience to the next level.”
The electronic trio definitely has no intention of slowing down anytime soon. Besides playing selected European festivals in 2017, they will continue to release more singles, not to mention an EP and a full album.
Since unleashing their latest single “Came Up” with a live performance featuring Post Malone at Lollapalooza this summer, Flosstradamus has received widespread support for the collaboration with FKi1st and Graves from both the electronic and hip hop communities. Acquiring over 1.2 million streams on SoundCloud alone since the track’s initial release, “Came Up” now receives the remix treatment from four up-and-coming trap artists.
The first track on the remix EP is a future bass remix from Jorgen Odegard, the winner of Bro Safari’s Splice x Mysteryland remix contest in 2015. Jorgen shifts the track into a more instrumentally-driven tune, using the vocals only as a hook that lead into poppy trap breakdowns. Also fusing more future bass elements into their remix, Rickyxsan’s rework slows down the track a notch with an influx of bubbly future bass synthesizers.
The last two tracks on the EP give “Came Up” a different feel, first with graves & Clips X Ahoy delivering a trapped out VIP edit ready for the festival mainstage and then with Casper and B, turning the track to a feel-good groove filled with uplifting and saccharine melodies.

Elusive Rec head honcho, Slavaki, claims back the label-reigns for the next instalment of signature Elusive quality material. The EP comes in shape of a 180g vinyl limited to 300 numbered copies and is moments away from becoming a collector’s item, not to mention that it is being made available well ahead of a digital release. Don’t sleep on it!
Four tracks compiled of entirely new material that exhibits Slavaki’s constantly evolving sound, bound to pleasant surprises both for the fans of his sold out debut LP and the new audience alike. The opening ‘In Circles’ is a pulsating experimental minimal groove that miraculously resolves into a lush sonorous landscape. ‘Sunday Rain’ takes the listeners on a wondrous aural trip-out while masterfully wrapping them around a solid, yet understated dub carcass. ‘Escalator’ picks up with contagious bass line which is guaranteed to make the dancefloors move.
The 12” version of the EP culminates in vinyl-only dub wonder ‘Herb’. The track is immediately danceable, heavily mulch-layered and politically poignant, benefitting from the bottomless depth of vocals. This is Slavaki’s way of thanking every single one of us who are supporting the vinyl format and a sure way to make your sets stand out in the sea of uniform mixes compiled of digitally available content.
The digital version of the EP reaches its highest point with the digital-only minimal jig ‘Just Play’. From the start the track bubbles with positive vibrations and touches the listeners in those most hard to reach places. Not least due to advanced mixing and mastering technique insuring that stereo signal gets a unique multidimensional feel to it. The message is simple, ‘It’s more than perfectionism, it’s a disease!’ ‘Just Play’ is Slavaki’s way of making sure that no matter which format you chose, you will find something special to help you surpass those who are not prepared to dig deep enough. With a range of new material this wide and quality of production and execution this high – Elusive028 is not only the disease but the cure as well.
Zimmer’s new EP Ceremony unveils the hidden, more melancholic and darker side of the Parisian producer.
Inspired by his personal experiences, his multiple trips around the world and driven by the desire to pay tribute to his astrophysicist father, Zimmer explores a broader musical spectrum, navigating between dreamy downtempo and straight up danceloor house.
This new record starts Lost Your Mind, carried by the angel like voice of Fhin and a solar guitar. Blending textures and Indian vocals samples, Odyssée flirts with techno while remaining warm and cosmic. Ceremony ends on Fire, a slo mo number washed out by celestial keyboards and a beautiful steel drum melody.
Ceremony, Zimmer’s new EP will be available December 16 on Roche Musique. Lost Your Mind is now available.
Zimmer is part of the new wave of Paris producers redefining French electronic music, alongside Roche Musique label mates Darius, FKJ, Kartell and more.
Zimmer’s made a name for himself with a string of high profile remixes (MØ, Vallis Alps, Gallant, Fakear…) and the singles Galapagos and Saturday Love. His 2015 EP “Coming of Age” marks his transformation into a well rounded artist, with a more refined, minimalist sound. Recorded between Paris and Los Angeles, the EP oscillates between euphoric moments and nostalgia, seamlessly travelling between soundscapes.
But perhaps the best way to experience Zimmer’s music is to see him DJ. His busy touring schedule took him all around the globe with over 160 dates in the past two years, including sold out shows in NYC, SF and Paris. His religiously followed mixtape series keeps listeners have made him a true tastemaker of the house scene. With his new record « Ceremony », Zimmer is set to confirm his status among France’s biggest rising talents.
Two Friends have had a huge year, with a staggering 17 Hype Machine number #1’s, support from The Chainsmokers, Krewella, and Tiesto, as well as millions of plays for their originals. They’ll be kicking off 2017 where they left off with a new EP and tour with Matoma.
And here’s a quote from the guys about the remix:
“”When we first heard Tove Lo’s original, totally convinced it was and still is the swaggiest song of the year. The song has a complete IDGAF attitude and that’s definitely what attracts us to Tove Lo and her music cuz that’s kinda like us (except we really do GAF). Like two weeks after it came out we were literally writing an email to our managers trying to get the stems when our team sent us the inquiry from them asking if we wanted to remix Cool Girl by Tove Lo. It was pretty hilarious. Anyways, we did our thing- recorded a bunch of guitar (mah baby) and had a lot of fun switching up the vibe of the original. Hope you enjoy! ✌”
