Today, 24th January, WILD LIFE Festival, the event started by Disclosure and Rudimental in 2015, announces it will return to Brighton City Airport for its third consecutive year on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th JUNE 2017. First headliners have been announced as FATBOY SLIM and JESS GLYNNE. Also announced to take to the WILD LIFE stages are ERIC PRYDZ, GEORGE EZRA, RAG’N’BONE MAN, and ELROW’S SOMBODROMO DE BRASIL – with much more including secret sets by returning acts and a third headliner still to be revealed. Weekend tickets are on sale this Friday at 10am from www.wildlifefestival.com

Headlining WILD LIFE 2017 is Brighton’s very own, Fatboy Slim. Named by Q Magazine as one of ‘50 Bands to See Before You Die’ and with ten MTV VMAs and two BRIT Awards to date, Fatboy Slim’s live set is not to be missed.

WILD LIFE welcomes the return of Grammy Award-winning Jess Glynne, appearing as headliner on the main stage for the first time at the festival since opening the very first WILD LIFE in 2015. With five UK number one singles to date, Jess Glynne featured on tracks such as Clean Bandit’s ‘Rather Be’ and ‘My Love’ by Route 94 before releasing her triple platinum-selling, number one debut album, ‘I Cry When I Laugh’ in 2015.

Other acts also confirmed to perform at WILD LIFE 2017 include pioneering DJ and producer Eric Prydz, known for his huge hit singles as well as his ground-breaking releases and live shows under the name Pryda. UK artist and rapper Wiley also joins this year’s WILD LIFE line up. From his pioneering days with UK garage crews such as Pay As You Go Cartel and Roll Deep, to his latest album The Godfather, Wiley has cemented his status as the ‘Godfather of Grime’. The return of four-time BRIT Award nominated George Ezra as well as Sussex-born winner of the 2017 BRITs Critic’s Choice Award Rag’n’Bone Man have both been revealed today.

Also announced today, world-famous elrow will be bringing a new immersive party to this year’s WILD LIFE Festival: Sambodromo De Brasil. World-class DJs, stilt-walking samba dancers and endless confetti will create a kaleidoscopic carnival vibe and even some Amazonian party people bearing gifts like cassava snacks and other Brazilian delicacies: there’s no end to what you might find at elrow at WILD LIFE this year.

WILD LIFE Festival 2017 (crowned Best New Festival 2015 – UK Festival Awards) will see tens of thousands of festival goers descend on Shoreham’s Brighton City Airport for its third year, bringing the very best of an eclectic mix of dance, pop, indie, hip-hop and more.

Fatboy Slim said:

“I always try to do something big in Brighton and I’m delighted to be included in this year’s WILD LIFE Festival after watching it grow literally on my doorstep. It’s the only festival I can walk to and hear from my house!”

SJM Concerts Event Manager Steve Walton said:

“There are some very exciting changes this year. Due to an overwhelming response from our post event research and feedback, WILD LIFE is moving to a Friday and Saturday. With a 1am finish both nights the festival moves into a new sphere that very few events offer, allowing us an increased the number of stages for a broader spectrum of music.

Jess Glynne opened our inaugural festival, so to have her back as one of our headliners is going to be really special. Her career so far has been phenomenal. We are particularly pleased to welcome Fatboy Slim to WILD LIFE who will be playing his first outdoor hometown set since 2015 and will be bringing his world renowned show with him.

We can’t wait to come back this June with a huge variety of artists once again.”

Lazy Rich ‘Knock Me Out’

Swinging in with an absolute blinder of a new electro house track, ‘Knock Me Out’ sees English producer Lazy Rich cap off 2016 in huge style, and make a clear, concise and considerably filthy move into the much-welcomed New Year and beyond.

Releasing on Dutch underground imprint Big & Dirty, part of the Be Yourself Music group, ‘Knock Me Out’ sees Lazy easily straddle a host of genres with his latest piece. Cleverly crafting huge bass and trap lines that intersect with pumping electronic layers and funk-fueled organic piano sections, Lazy constructs a piece that manages to create symbiosis between the electronic and the instrumental. It’s a no-holds barred, take no prisoners slice of dance floor magic that firmly pulls on ‘traditional’ funky house influences while at the same time managing to thrust huge, infectious, roaring big room elements.

Known the world over for his uncompromising sound and his mastery of the electro house genre, Lazy Rich enjoys support from some of the industry’s most revered producers – Tiesto, Skrillex, Norman Cook, Laidback Luke, Armin Van Helden, Fedde Le Grand, Hardwell to name just a few. His writing and collaboration credits are equally as impressive: Lady Gaga, Fatboy Slim, Deadmau5, Avicii, Porter Robinson, X-Press 2. Yet not content to sit on these admittedly impressive laurels, with ‘Knock Me Out’ Lazy Rich seems undeniably intent on making an even bigger mark as the dance community moves through into 2017.

Party Thieves Release “Wall Of Death” (Original Mix)

Scorch Felix unleashes the highly anticipated ‘Golden Shaker’

Scorch Felix is the new moniker of UK veteran, DJ Farouch, who has been involved in the dance music scene for over two decades. Having released on the DFL label, belonging to Radio 1’s Dream Teem, and remixed S-Express in the mid-90’s, Farouch’s career was only ever going to go one way. Several impressive remixes later saw his portfolio include acts as diverse as Massive Attack, Michael Jackson, Ice-T and David Bowie before he was signed up to Fatboy Slim’s Southern Fried imprint.

Having recently remixed Martin Garrix and The Chainsmokers, his Scorch Felix alias allows this master of all trades to reinvent himself once again and to show he has yet another string to his bow, and what better way to showcase this new persona than with his red hot ‘Golden Shaker EP’. With more than just a slight nod to those early 90’s days in the UK, Golden Shaker is jam-packed full of nostalgic Rave vibes. Old stool pianos ring out, flanked by high-energy female vocals, broken beats, classic D ‘n’ B-influenced MCing and Rave stabs that will have ravers young and old reaching for the lasers. The release comprises of an Original and the Future House Remix and it will be hard for DJ’s to decide which to play first as both are certainties to bring the heat to clubs across the land as temperatures begin to plummet outside.
