Nero – ‘Into The Night’ Remix EP incl. reworks from Nero, Amtrac, Friend Within & more

Following the official video release of ‘Into The Night’, NERO have unveiled a seven-track remix package to compliment the single, taken from new album ‘Between II Worlds’. Featuring new mixes from Friend Within, Leon Reverse, Amtrac, Dawn Wall & MANT, as well as an exclusive NERO ‘88 remix, ‘Into The Night’ is transformed, with each rework tapping into the buzz surrounding the single itself.

Kicking things off is NERO’s very own ’88 remix which taps into glossy 80’s electronica, while MANT flip their mix towards house and techno, giving the track an altogether different dimension. Friend Within delivers a typically bass-heavy cut moulded for the club, whilst Newcomers Dawn Wall inject the track with steely, zapping energy, layering it with signature drum & bass sounds. Amtrac then strips back the vocals in his cut, driving the track with a pulsating bassline, transforming it into a dark underground club creeper. Continuing to take the record to new depths is ATTLAS as he taps into the instrumental, focusing solely on the electronic elements throughout, before signing things off with Leon Reverse who leads the track through a series of piano chords and thumping baselines into his rework.

Up-and-coming producer Embody is currently riding a wave of success after remixing John Newman’s iconic ‘Come and Get It’ to a rapturous response a few weeks back. Today, he continues with a return to his own material and a brand new original track, ‘Dreamin’ ft Camden Cox’ – a tropically infused affair set to propel this promising talent further into the limelight.

The quality and production value of ‘Dreamin’ is clear from the outset, as an impossibly catchy guitar riff enthralls the listener. Steady percussion builds the track’s energy with steel drums instilling the mood with tropical summer sensibility. As Camden Cox’s crisp yet glossy and layered pop vocals pierce through the composition, one is immediately drawn to the astute combination of melancholic harmonics and upbeat tropical soul driven by the steady beat of the kick drum.

Having released her debut EP ‘Kinda Like’ last year via Little Boots’ label On Repeat, singer Camden Cox has been garnering increased attention. Lending her enchanting vocals to Friend Within’s ‘Talk’ and Toyboy & Robin’s ‘300 Degrees’ earlier in the year, the young Londoner is certainly making a name for herself as an outstandingly versatile vocalist.

With 15 million plays online for his first track in July 2014, Lithuanian born and London-based producer Embody is a fast rising future star. With a finely tuned and distinctive style, coined ‘Tropical Soul,’ it is no surprise that his surplus number of high profile remixes have gained him a dedicated following, including support from Radio 1 tastemaker Pete Tong. With a string of festival performances this year in Europe, Embody has proven his exceptional ability and reputation as both a unique producer and an innovative DJ.

Friend Within – The Renegade (Powerhouse Music)

The Renegade is a masterclass in timeless dance music.

Taken from Wildchild – Renegade Master, one of the tracks that defines the house scene of the nineties, the instantly recognizable sample is given a fresh spin on The Renegade, opening with a bouncing 4/4 beat and driven forward by a trademark monstrous Friend Within bassline.

Already hammered by BBC Radio 1 and originally released on the infamous Ministry of Sound imprint, it now sees a full release in The Netherlands on Dutch dance label Powerhouse Music, the dance division of the Talpa Media Group. The very definition of dance floor destroyer, The Renegade has clocked up almost 100.000 online hits way ahead of its official release.
