Bakermat releases ‘Baby’

Dutch DJ/producer Bakermat has revealed his new single, ‘Baby’, out now via Dirty Soul/B1 Recordings/Ultra Music.

Bursting with energy, ‘Baby’ flaunts hard-hitting drum patterns and a driving bassline, surrounded by a soaring female vocal. Warm piano chords and the Dutch producer’s signature saxophone hook later come into the fore, adding a melodic element to the track.

Recognised for his uplifting house style, Lodewijk Fluttert better known as Bakermat has helped establish the house sound in dance music. His single ‘One Day (Vandaag)’ has amassed over 47 million Spotify plays, peaked in the Top 5 of several European singles charts and went platinum in Germany. Premiered by BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong, the lively track gained over 20 million Spotify plays and was later reworked by revered American producer, MK. His recent single ‘Living’, features the rich vocal styles of British singer/songwriter Alex Clare.

Bakermat has since toured his circus-themed sets in New York, Amsterdam, Paris, Brazil and Malta. Tiesto wins first Grammy for his remix of John Legend’s “All Of Me”

From his tremendous original songs and remixes, unforgettable live shows and penchant for offering some of todays brightest stars their first big breaks, Tiësto is a dance music superstar in the truest sense. Voted “The Greatest DJ Of All Time” by Mixmag and the “#1” DJ by Rolling Stone, Tiësto was one of the first dance music artists to break through into popular culture having performed at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games while also having a statue at the famed Madame Tussauds created in his honor. He’s also the only dance music artist to have their own channel on Sirius XM; putting Tiësto in the company of Elvis Presley, Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, The Grateful Dead and Eminem.

Despite a career filled with so many achievements, there’s one award that had proven elusive for Tiësto. He was first nominated for a Grammy Award in 2007 for his album Elements Of Life in the “Best Electronic/Dance Album” category but did not take home the prize. Little did any of us know that in just a few years time Dance Music would take over the world – but there’s Tiësto on top and at the forefront of the industry. So here we are nearly ten years since his first Grammy nomination Tiësto brings home the music industry’s top award for his remix of John Legend’s “All Of Me.”
.
“Over the years I’ve been lucky enough to accomplish so many of my dreams and goals but it wasn’t until last night that I was able to bring home something that I’ve wanted for a very long time. It was such an honor to step on that stage and accept the Grammy for Best Remix for my remix of John Legend’s “All Of Me”. Receiving the award for this remix was even more special because I made this remix only because I loved the song and thought I could add something special to it and John agreed! I want to dedicate this award to all of my fans for their love and support,” Tiësto says

Tiësto will be celebrating his award in his typical fashion – by playing live and making new music for his fans. It will be a busy spring as Tiësto preps the fourth installment of his acclaimed “Club Life” album series. After volumes dedicated to Las Vegas, Miami and Stockholm can you guess where his heart lies for the newest edition? More on that soon.

MASS BASS w/ Four Tet Live, Pretty Lights, Flux Pavilion and more to celebrate Privilege Ibiza’s 21st anniversary.

Following a stellar debut season that has seen performances from some of the world’s biggest DJ’s, MASS BASS gears up for their penultimate party with another unique, bass-flavoured line up at Privilege to celebrate the super-club’s 21st anniversary.

Steeped in heritage, Privilege – formerly KU – has played a fundamental role in the development of club-culture in Ibiza, spearheading the ‘super-club’ era that subsequently swept the globe, and redefining dance music culture for the past two decades. After 21 years, their status as the largest club on the planet remains untouched.

With each session designed to push boundaries and look beyond the typical Ibiza clubbing experience, Thursday’s party will see an exclusive LIVE performance from electronic visionary Four Tet, as he returns to Privilege for what will be his final performance of the Ibiza season. Having played his only two sets of the season at MASS BASS, Four Tet’s contribution to the residency has been extra special, and after setting the bar incredibly high when he kicked it off back in June, he now comes full circle by returning to round off the party calendar. Renowned for his experimental, boundary-bridging production skills, Four Tet perfectly encompasses the explorative MASS BASS attitude and has played a key role in the development of today’s underground club culture.

Alongside Four Tet’s unmissable performance is Grammy Award nominated producer Pretty Lights. Since his debut release back in 2006, his rise to prominence has been blistering, amassing a dedicated global following with a relentless tour schedule of sold-out shows. Pretty Lights set for MASS BASS will also be his last appearance in Ibiza this season. UK dubstep producer and co-founder of Circus Records, Flux Pavillion will also join ranks, with MASS BASS residents Dub Elements and DJ Nano completing the line up.

Having built a solid legion of bass-loving fans, MASS BASS has announced its return to Ibiza in 2015, which is set to be even bigger and better. Already highly regarded across Spain and beyond, this Thursday’s dose of MASS BASS will be no exception and promises to be another remarkable evening.
