Louis the Child and Vocalist Evalyn star in “Fire” Official Music Video

Last fall dance-pop duo Louis the Child released their vocally-driven, saccharine groove “Fire” featuring LA-based vocalist Evalyn. Today, the teenage tandem shares a raunchy and visually artistic video to accompany the shimmering hit which has received over 10.5 million streams on Spotify alone since its initial release.

Starring the teenage duo and vocalist Evalyn, the brooding video starts at a seemingly run-of-the-mill party that is anything but. Seeing that the LTC boys’ ordinary lighters aren’t strong enough to fuel the party’s energy, Evalyn uses her mysterious heart-labeled box of matches to ignite a flame throughout the soiree. The blazing rainbow flare spreads throughout the bacchanal, adding life and color to everything it touches. A metaphor for how positive energy spreads like wildfire, the spirited music video for “Fire” is a flaming hot complement to one of the top dance hits of the season.

Since the track’s premiere during the rising duo’s Lollapalooza set in late July, the track has received support from the likes of Pete Tong, Diplo, Dillon Francis Sweater Beats and Felix Cartal. Charting on Beatport’s Top 100 Dance list and receiving airplay on radio stations around the world, “Fire” was also featured in two different Diplo & Friends mixes as well as Pete Tong’s 2016 Essential Mix of the Year shortlist.

This Friday Louis The Child will drop their first original track of 2017 called “Love Is Alive” featuring budding songstress Elohim via Ultra Music.

Louis The Child’s mellifluous catalogue of grooves speaks for itself. Earlier this year, the duo saw widespread success with their pop collaboration on “Weekend” with Icona Pop, which received over 1.5 million plays on SoundCloud and quickly climbed the ranks on HypeM. Additionally, the band’s own Freddy Kennett co-wrote The Chainsmokers’ “Closer,” which instantly went on to become the #1 song in the world. The numbers speak volumes, with more than 10 tracks charting at #1 on HypeM and double-digit festival appearances, including the likes of Coachella, Lollapalooza, Electric Zoo and Governors Ball, just to name a few.

Evalyn is a singer and songwriter based out of Venice beach, CA. Her dogtown noir sound is heavily influenced by hip-hop and her combination of biting lyricism and addictive melodies have led to her style of wine stained soul pop. In October, 2015, her mashup cover of “The Hills x Nightcall” shot up the HypeMachine popular charts claiming the number 2 overall slot. With vocals described as “breathtaking” by Dancing Astronaut, the mashup has accumulated half a million plays on soundcloud.

Sick Individuals Remix Madonna’s “Bitch I’m Madonna”

Popular Dutch duo Sick Individuals have returned with a new heavy-hitting remix of the Queen of Pop’s smash hit “Bitch I’m Madonna,” out now on all digital retailers through Boy Toy Inc / Live Nation Worldwide / Interscope.

First premiered exclusively on Billboard, Sick Individuals, made up of Rinze “Ray” Hofstee and Joep “Jim” Smeele, take the already high-energy original and turn it into a thumping, electro house rework fit for festival season.

Linus Eklow AKA Style of Eye just keeps on giving. Having released his much-anticipated sophomore album, ‘Footprints’ earlier this month to great acclaim, the Swedish luminary now drops the official video to his latest hit, ‘Louder’!

Premiered on EDM.com, the video comes out at a moment in which Eklow continues to effortlessly chop and change between the Style of Eye moniker and his other role as one half of dance music’s hottest duo right now, Galantis. ‘Runaway’, the latest track from Galantis hit the #1 spot on Spotify’s Viral Chart and HypeM Popular Chart this October but now Eklow is switching back his attention to release visuals to one of his most adored tracks from the LP.

The video to ‘Louder’ is one that perfectly suits the uplifting and roaring theme of the track, with cheerleaders living in what appears like a desolate future in which only the strong survive. Using the warped and purring vocals of fellow countrywoman, Sirena, ‘Louder’ harks back to some of Style of Eye’s most celebrated recent hits, with elements of the production bound to remind fans of his innovative work on Icona Pop’s smash hit, ‘I Love It’.

‘Louder’ was also remixed by some of the dance space’s most up and coming talent recently, with Botnek giving their own ‘Weirder’ spin on things, whilst dancehall-modernist Ape Drums lay down his own trapstastic edit of the original.

The release of ‘Footprints’ capped off what was truly a special 12 months for the Swede. Having garnered platinum status in his homeland for ‘Kids’ earlier in 2014, the producer was also able to combine his individual efforts with that of his Galantis project which came on in leaps and bounds as they hit the #1 spot on iTunes Dance Charts for their debut self-titled EP.

As the year begins to draw to a close, Style of Eye isn’t letting anything slow him down as he finishes up his sold-out tour with Galantis before jetting off on his very own ‘Footprints’ celebratory journey across Europe. Make sure you’re on board and not missing out!
