TEPR DROPS ‘HALF BELOW’ VIDEO

TEPR, also known as Tanguy Destable, has been producing his own brand of hypnotic French house for the past 4 years, with some of his tracks gracing the likes of Astralwerks, Beaucoup Music, and now reaching a home on the prolific and celebrated Partyfine.

This February signals the much anticipated release of the music video for the title track to his latest EP ‘Half Below’, a stimulating dance record and a must-have pop infused number, perfect for late nights and early mornings.

The track centers on a solitary looping vocal and a distinct eurythmic bounce, both of which combine to form a unique and atypical vibe. This unconventional feeling is perfectly encapsulated in the ELMØ produced music video, which features odd repetitive sequences that are not only mesmerizing, but also slightly disturbing. The music video, while undeniably strange, is a near perfect visualization of both the sound of TEPR, and Partyfine as a label. Speaking of the video, Tanguy said:

“I had this idea of a ‘3 mouth face’ music video for a while now and to me it seemed impossible to achieve unless I could have the Pixar army under my command. Then one day, the ELMO boss texted me out of nowhere saying ‘Dude, I love your music, let’s make a video together.’

I knew their motion design and 3D work from the Martin Solveig’s videos so I was excited. I proposed my idea and 3 months later I received this insane / cute / weird / fun video that takes the dark tone of the track away but still keep it in a freak show vibe.”

Prior to creating his solo material, TEPR represented 1/3 of the French electro-pop outfit YELLE, and toured/produced with the group for over 5 years of their revered career as a band. After a clean break in 2014, TEPR hit the studio and had quite the successful 2015, putting out 2 EP’s on Yuksek’s label.

With the release of his “Half Below” music video, TEPR has successfully conquered yet another audio-visual medium, both proving his versatility as an artist, and talent in selecting up and coming filmmakers. 2016 is looking to be a banner year for TEPR as he fully introduces himself as an independent artist, so make sure to follow him on his social accounts as listed below, and be on the lookout for new music from the Frenchman soon.

Joe Stone & Daser ‘Freak (And You Know It)

After dropping his debut single ‘The Party (This Is How We Do It)’ featuring the original vocals of 90s star Montell Jordan, Joe Stone’s name was immediately set. The track (a cool house groove featuring 1995 R&B elements) remained on top of Beatport’s main chart for over a month, getting support from DJs like Martin Solveig, Oliver Heldens, The Magician and Watermät to Martin Garrix, Don Diablo and Afrojack. The video currently counts over 7 million YouTube plays, making Joe Stone’s debut one of the most legendary in recent dance history.

Following ’The Party’ is Joe Stone’s hotly-anticipated new release titled ‘Freak (And You Know It)’. Already knocking up hundreds of thousands of streams, Joe is set to repeat the success of his debut with ’Freak’ on Spinnin’ Records with the official music set to go live this week.

With a nod to the imagery of early 00s and 90s French house and disco tracks that have undoubtedly influenced this release, it features a robot – albeit one constructed out of cardboard boxes – dancing his way through high school life. Check it out ahead of the single’s release on October 12th.
