Max Graham – Redemption (Original & Tim Penner Remix)

Today marks the start of a new era for DJ & producer Max Graham as he launches his new record label Cycles with its first release coming from the label head himself titled “Redemption.” Marrying his love for techno’s sexy groove with trance’s emotion, “Redemption” has already had repeated plays from none other than Danny Tenaglia himself. On the remix duties is rising Canadian star Tim Penner who gives the track a lovely chuggy linear feel but opens the skies up with the incredible breakdown.

Pick up the Original Mix and Tim Penner Remix of “Redemption” now on Beatport, and keep an eye out for additional remixes from Solid Stone and Alex Di Stefano out soon!

Max Graham says goodbye to Rebrand Records and launches new label, Cycles

It is after much thought that I’ve decided to say goodbye to my record label, Rebrand Records, and Armada as its distributor.

Conceived in 2004 with the idea of creating a family of like-minded artists, I can look back and say it was an amazing experience and we achieved exactly that. Huge thanks to the entire team at Armada for backing the label and helping it grow and the talented artists we featured, specifically my great friends Protoculture and Solid Stone who helped create the sound that Rebrand was so known for.

With that, I introduce the next step: my new imprint, Cycles.

Like its successful namesake Cycles Radio, Cycles the record label will encompass a much broader sound with a wide variety of true Progressive House and Techno with melodic influences–almost a return to the days when Trance had an underground groove and genres were not as defined as they are today. I’m very excited to showcase so much more amazing music from guys like Solid Stone (whose sound has evolved considerably since the earlier Rebrand days) and the incredibly talented Tim Penner, as well as many others already lined up for releases.

Along with the label, we are planning “CyclesLive” events which will be designed to celebrate the talent the show has to offer. I’m very excited to move forward with this new phase and bring everything under the one banner of Cycles.

The label’s first release in spring 2015 will be my own new single, “Redemption,” which carries amazing remixes by Alex Di Stefano, Tim Penner and Solid Stone who each premiered their version during Cycles 200 Live back in April in New York City.

I cannot wait to share this new song with you–along with the many other amazing releases we have on deck– as we embark on the next chapter of the Cycles journey together. – Max Graham

Max Graham Makes Trance King with ‘Purple’

2014 is quickly teeing up to be a huge landmark in Max Graham’s already illustrious career. The Amsterdam-based dance music aficionado kicked off January with his chart-topping mix compilation Cycles 5 and coinciding single with Maarten De Jong, ‘Lekker,’ which quickly climbed to the No. 2 spot on Beatport’s Trance list. Now with his first solo release of the year and surely another hit among euphoric music fans alike, Max brings us ‘Purple’ out now through his own Rebrand Records.

A stellar track first debuted on Cycles 5, ‘Purple’ acts as a compelling reminder that Trance still reigns supreme in an industry bogged down by less intricate productions. Oozing with rich tones and textures and robust synths, the rapturous creation has been lighting up Max’s sets both in the booth and on his weekly radio show and has gathered radio support from Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Super8 & Tab, Jorn Van Deynhoven, Solarstone and more.

Max’s productions aren’t the only place he’s been shining this year. As if consecutive hits aren’t enough the seasoned producer recently wrapped up his whirlwind 20+ city #CyclesTour2014 awing cities like Atlanta, New York City, Seattle, Washington DC and Vancouver with his new trademark Open-to-Close sets, and celebrated the 150th episode of his quickly growing Cycles Radio with a sold out show in Toronto with Mark Sherry and Solid Stone. In the coming months Max will continue to take crowds on his cultivated journey at events like Aly & Fila’s FSOE event in both Amsterdam and New York City and the We Are One Festival in Berlin.

Max Graham’s Cycles 5 Compilation [Armada]

As if running his Re*Brand record label, hosting his weekly Cycles Radio show, DJing around the world and spending quality time in the studio wasn’t enough, Max Graham has managed to find the time to mix the 5th edition of his pioneering Cycles compilation series. Out now on Armada, Cycles 5 features a continuous mix of 18 hand-selected tracks that, as the album title suggests, fluidly move through phases of Trance, Techno, Progressive Trance and deeper melodies to take the listener through a sequence of emotional highs and lows.

Never one to conform to a specific genre, Max Graham has continued to support new names and experiment with musical boundaries instead of confining himself to one sound. This free spirited approach has given him the liberty to carve his own path, whether in his original productions, live shows or the music he chooses to promote on his radio show. Cycles 5 demonstrates once again Max’s ability to seek out unknown tracks by underground artists that hint at flavors of Ibiza, India, Morocco, Miami, and other exotic locations, taking you to worlds yet undiscovered. Continuing the journey started by the first four in the compilation series, Cycles 5 will expand your musical horizon and leave you yearning for the next edition.

Max Graham vs Maarten de Jong – Lekker [ReBrand]

Translated from Dutch into English, “Lekker” means “luscious” and the same can be said of Max Graham and Maarten de Jong’s new collaboration. The titillating track comes right ahead of Max’s Cycles 5 compilation release on January 17, one of eighteen mixes that weave in and out of Trance, Techno, Progressive Trance and more to take the listener on a journey of emotional highs and lows.

A fast tempo, high energy instrumental, “Lekker” entices you on to the dance floor with a rousing display of sexy synths, rolling basslines and melodic trance riffs. Its uplifting and opulent chord structure have secured it a prime spot in sets around the world, with prominent radio support from Armin van Buuren, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Alex M.O.R.P.H., and others. An integral piece of the Cycles 5 puzzle, “Lekker” starts off Max Graham’s 2014 on a high note and will keep you dancing throughout the upcoming months.
