MK releases upbeat remix of Rihanna’s ‘Sex with Me’

The Saunderson Brothers ft. Kim Sykes Of Senseless Live – Other World

One of Canada’s fastest growing emerging new singer and songwriters Kim Sykes has been making huge noises in her native country, thanks to her lush and emotional vocals. The Edmonton based artist is the lead singer of high-flying trio Senseless Live and their Deep House records have landed them a spot as one of the scene’s most exciting and fastest growing acts. With a release catalogue that includes: ‘Ricochet EP’, ‘Intentions’, ‘Speak’ and ‘Open Nature / Raw Hyde’ amongst others, it’s no wonder they have been grabbing the attention of many A-List DJs worldwide.

Kim’s collaborators, The Saunderson Brothers are no strangers to success either. Dantiez and Damarri have been following in their father’s footsteps, Detroit Techno pioneer Kevin Saunderson, and between them they have an impressive release catalogue that includes releases on renowned labels like: Toolroom, Cr2 Records, Simma Black, Glasgow Underground, Defected, as well as having the honour of remixing House legend MK’s hit single ‘Piece Of Me’, featuring UK hotshot vocalist Becky Hill.

The trio recently got into the studio together and it’s no shock that a banging House track was born, coming in the form of ‘Other World’. Full of dark piano chords, groovy beats, driving bass-lines and Kim’s unique vocals, ‘Other World’ has all the required elements to get dance-floors grooving – the perfect way to kick start any party. ‘Other World’ is out now via Kevin Saunderson’s KMS Records imprint, so make sure you grab your copy now in time for the Ibiza season.

Annie Mac makes MK ft Becky Hill ‘Piece Of Me’ HOTTEST Record In The World

The extended edit of MK’s highly anticipated new single, ‘Piece of Me’ is now out, after receiving its first play on Annie Mac’s famous BBC Radio 1 show on Friday. This premiere came after MK first been revealed the track in a live performance alongside Becky Hill on BBC Radio 1. His impressive set was part of Pete Tong‘s ‘Live in LA’ event, with the new song becoming one of the most talked-about highlights of the show.

New material from MK is always a big event, especially the original productions; several of his earlier releases, including ‘Always’ and ‘Burning’, were instrumental in helping dance music first cross over into the mainstream. He’s also well known for being a prolific remixer, with numerous chart successes confirming his skills for crafting catchy hooks and instantly recognisable melodies. The Detroit house master’s remix of of Storm Queen’s ‘Look Right Through’ hit #1 in the UK singles chart and became a defining sound of that summer, whilst his remix of Wankelmut & Emma Louise’s ‘My Head Is A Jungle’ was another huge mainstream success.

New single ‘Piece of Me’ opens with MK’s trademark stylistic flair, with a chopped, pitched-down vocal sample adding extra melody over the strong, summery piano chords. Becky Hill’s souring vocals lead the track – as a singer who has previously collaborated with Rudimental and Oliver Heldens, her credentials are self-evident. Underpinned by a driving bassline, ‘Piece of Me’ is an anthemic creation worthy of the huge festival and club crowds that MK so regularly frequents as a DJ.

‘Piece of Me’ marks the first release on MK’s newly-relaunched Area10 label. With many more release announcements to come and live Area10 stages at festivals across the world this summer, this track is the first taste of big things to come – watch out for the Area10 Warm Up Sessions live dates, which will be announced very soon.

Over the last few years MK has become one of the elite in the Shazam charts with a plethora of remixes including Lana Del Rey, Sam Smith, Rudimental, Kant, and Pharrell to name but a few; his version of Rufus Du Sol’s ’Say A Prayer’ is his latest remix success. With his Area10 brand hosting stages at We Are FSTVL, Parklife, Creamfields and Tomorrowland as well as his summer shows at Pacha, MK can certainly be counted as one of the more influential and prolific DJ/producers in the game. ‘Piece of Me’ is just the beginning of a big year for the influential house music master.

Stream Disciples new EP ‘The Following’ in full

After riding high in the charts with ‘How Deep Is Your Love’, their extraordinary collaboration with Calvin Harris, South London DJ/production trio Disciples delve deeper into the clubs with new EP, ‘The Following’.

‘The Following’ consists of a collection of tracks the guys have been experimenting with during their DJ sets over the last few months. Of the three new tracks, the energy of ‘Mastermind’ openly wears its influences on its sleeve with rolling, hypnotic bass, while ‘Flawless’ rounds things off with another trademark bassline, flashes of Luke’s spoken word and an eerie, de-tuned melody.

In addition to their recordings, Disciples have also provided remixes for everyone from Azari & III and MK, to Coldplay via Lana Del Rey. Following their Calvin Harris collaboration, the trio also have a further project lined up with Robin Schultz.
About Disciples
Disciples are Duvall, Luke and Gavin. This exciting trio has been bubbling under the radar for over a year, but broke through when their deep groove-led production, ‘They Don’t Know’, became an underground anthem, Pete Tong’s ‘Essential New Tune’ and subsequently entered the UK Singles Chart. The band shuns the usual route of producer + guest vocalist to strike out on their own – every element of their tracks written, produced and sung by the band.
