Mr. Lekka – Oh

Reflecting on the track, Zeds Dead said:

“It was one of those crazy studio moments were everything just fell into place. We had already been sending this song idea back and forth with Tyler (NGHTMRE), mainly trying out different sounds and what not, then he came through and we all thought it deserved a vocal so we began testing out different ones that we had from previously scrapped ideas. That’s when Tyler got an email from a vocalist & DJ he had met on his Australian tour named GG MAGREE. The vocal wasn’t written to the song but when we tried it over it worked perfectly and took the track to a whole other level.”

“The chord progression for this track really stood out to me and I immediately wrote some ideas for vocal chops and arranged the tracks. A few months later we met up in LA and got in the studio to lock in the main idea and find a vocal. I originally pictured a track between us to be a bit heavier, but once we wrote these melodies and vocal chops I really fell in love with the emotion of the track.”

Get ready for the release of Zeds Dead’s long-awaited debut album Northern Lights contains features from Diplo, Elliphant, Pusha T, Twin Shadow, Jadakiss, Rivers Cuomo, and more. The album is due out this fall on their own Deadbeats label and the duo is touring in support of it.

Jack Novak’s “Driving Blind (ft. Bright Lights)” out today on Power + Light Records

Today, DJ/producer/remixer Jack Novak releases her new single, “Driving Blind (ft. Bright Lights)” on Novak’s own label, Power + Light Records.

Jack grew up in the South-West Chicago exploring this dance music mecca’s underground rave scene as a teen. With loads of inspiration, she packed up for Los Angeles and built her own home studio; training herself day and night over two-years to perfect her craft. The hard work was noticed by William Morris’ Joel Zimmerman who signed Jack to the famed agency’s roster in 2013. The next piece of the puzzle was signing a management deal with Chris Taylor of Last Gang Entertainment; the organization known for working with innovative recording artists including Purity Ring, Ryan Hemsworth and Crystal Castles, among others.

“Jack has clear vision of who she is and the artistry she wants to bring to the world. She’s an amazing producer, songwriter, and positive spirit. She’s up for any challenge and is ready to work her butt off to fill the void of strong, talented, driven women in the EDM space.” – Chris Taylor, Chairman & CEO, Last Gang Entertainment

The first in a line of brand new Jack Novak original productions, “Driving Blind” has a big room summery vibe that’s perfect for festival season. It’s passionate and slickly produced…but don’t take our word for it. Let Jack take you through the production of the song in this behind the scenes video:

Catch Jack Novak on the road this summer including dates in Las Vegas at Drais and Lollapalooza in Chicago.

Tiesto wins first Grammy for his remix of John Legend’s “All Of Me”

From his tremendous original songs and remixes, unforgettable live shows and penchant for offering some of todays brightest stars their first big breaks, Tiësto is a dance music superstar in the truest sense. Voted “The Greatest DJ Of All Time” by Mixmag and the “#1” DJ by Rolling Stone, Tiësto was one of the first dance music artists to break through into popular culture having performed at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games while also having a statue at the famed Madame Tussauds created in his honor. He’s also the only dance music artist to have their own channel on Sirius XM; putting Tiësto in the company of Elvis Presley, Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, The Grateful Dead and Eminem.

Despite a career filled with so many achievements, there’s one award that had proven elusive for Tiësto. He was first nominated for a Grammy Award in 2007 for his album Elements Of Life in the “Best Electronic/Dance Album” category but did not take home the prize. Little did any of us know that in just a few years time Dance Music would take over the world – but there’s Tiësto on top and at the forefront of the industry. So here we are nearly ten years since his first Grammy nomination Tiësto brings home the music industry’s top award for his remix of John Legend’s “All Of Me.”
“Over the years I’ve been lucky enough to accomplish so many of my dreams and goals but it wasn’t until last night that I was able to bring home something that I’ve wanted for a very long time. It was such an honor to step on that stage and accept the Grammy for Best Remix for my remix of John Legend’s “All Of Me”. Receiving the award for this remix was even more special because I made this remix only because I loved the song and thought I could add something special to it and John agreed! I want to dedicate this award to all of my fans for their love and support,” Tiësto says

Tiësto will be celebrating his award in his typical fashion – by playing live and making new music for his fans. It will be a busy spring as Tiësto preps the fourth installment of his acclaimed “Club Life” album series. After volumes dedicated to Las Vegas, Miami and Stockholm can you guess where his heart lies for the newest edition? More on that soon.

Closing the final chapter on the emotive 3-part ‘Metamorphic’ EP series, Tritonal ensure they end on a high with the almighty ‘Seraphic’. Feeding off the energy of the recently previewed and highly acclaimed ‘Anchor’ – Chad and Dave have once again delivered a sound that is truly incredible. With the release of ‘Metamorphic III’ confirmed for September 15th – fans can now head to iTunes to pre-order the EP.

With ‘Satellite’ (ft. Jonathan Mendelsohn), ‘Anchor’ and now ‘Seraphic’ all ready to be unleashed, it’s become increasingly apparent that this new wave of Tritonal sound is here to stay. Completely flipping the energy and atmosphere from the previous two EPs, ‘Seraphic’ sees the pair collaborate with young Pittsburgh native Mr. Fijiwiji, exhibiting a glitchy yet euphoric ambiance to really display the versatility and creativity that this Texas twosome can achieve. Soft, warm synths rim alongside the beautifully crafted piano riffs as they slowly but surely drop into faintly frenetic dubs and wobbles. Stepping out of their comfort zone, Tritonal are confident that this change of pace will continue to please their faithful Tritonians as it resonates with the forever classic ‘Still With Me ft. Christina Soto’.

‘Metamorphic III’ completes the trilogy that has tracked Tritonal’s musical transition over the past nineteen months. Fast earning a reputation for delivering some of the most energetic and passionate sets in dance music, Tritonal are continuing to revolutionize and unify the electronic dance scene. With just a handful more dates remaining on their current tour, there’s still time left to join the Tritonian movement and catch them at the dates below:
