Oxia – Harmonie
The name Oxia tends to conjure a few different things—A Greek island? Life-supplying oxygen?—but when the French producer and DJ Oliver Raymond uses the moniker, it only means one thing: deliciously deep, atmospheric house and techno.
Today’s Bomb Alert, Oxia’s “Harmonie,” exudes that essence with aplomb. Tinkly, melodic synths and pianos pair with pastoral pads and a solid four-four kick to create one of our favorite house jams of late.
AN21 & Max Vangeli vs. Steve Angello – H8RS
It seems like the wait has been eternal for AN21 & Max Vangeli’s debut album ‘People Of The Night’ but finally some previews and records are leaking for our listening pleasure. Zane Lowe just played their track versus Steve Angello ‘H8RS’ which the radio jocked named the hottest record in the world, and Pete Tong also put it on his Essential Selection last week. ‘H8RS’ is set to be the first single release off the forthcoming (date is not yet set) album and it’s a dirty one
Deadmau5 ft. Chris James – The Veldt (8 Minute Edit)
Deadmau5 has finally released “The Veldt,” the first official single to come out of his SoundCloud sessions where fans were able to watch its creation via live stream. The track has a well-documented history that began with a simple revolving loop instrumental and ended with miraculously finding the ideal vocal on Twitter. Chris James’ vocal aids Deadmau5 with creating one of his most soothing productions to date. “The Veldt” is the first track off Deadmau5′s upcoming EP of the same name, which will include the Cypress Hill-assisted “Failbait.” You can purchase the title track now on Beatport, and the full EP will be released on June 25th.
John Dahlback – Rebels
Swedish producer/DJ John Dahlback is giving away one of his masterfully crafted productions. A dance floor killer in its own respect, “Rebels” features a more distorted sound than we’ve ever heard from Dahlback, as twisted bass and synths take control after a kick drum prominent introduction. His signature joyful vibe returns on this production – present in the lead, and even stronger after the drop. Head to Dahlback’s Facebook page to claim your copy of “Rebels” for the small price of a ‘like.’
