Rising LA via Stockholm producer KONO teams up with Aussie siren Havana Brown to release a brand new summer anthem ‘House of Glass’.

KONO and Havana Brown met in Los Angeles while recording their first song ‘Warrior’ in 2013. The song topped the Billboard dance charts at Number 1 and racked up double platinum sales in Havana’s home country of Australia. Now they are back together again with ‘House of Glass’, co-written with the talented Californian singer Ilsey Juber, who wrote Martin Garrix’s no 1 hit song, ‘In the Name of Love’.

KONO details the track, “This is one of my all time favorite songs. When we wrote it, I didn’t know that I was going to pursue a artist career and be lucky to have it as my second single. Couldn’t call anyone else then my girl Havana Brown to join me on this one. The end result is amazing.”

Having remixed, written and produced tracks for Jennifer Lopez, Will.i.am, Robin Thicke, Kaskade and Far East Movement, KONO has refocused his efforts towards his own personal musical output for 2017. Blending coming-of-age pop music with influences from across the electronic dance world, this talented young producer looks set to leave his indelible mark on the scene this year.

Ultra Naté and Quentin Harris as Black Stereo Faith album out now

Today marks the release of Black Stereo Faith’s self titled debut album; a project 10 years in the making from house music legends Ultra Naté and Quentin Harris.

Black Stereo Faith’s album harkens back to the unvarnished and underground feel of Ultra Naté’s acclaimed 1990 debut, Blue Notes in The Basement. A vibey, unapologetically loose amalgam of R&B, house, rock and electronics highlighting multi-instrumentalist wunderkind Quentin Harris’ production and arrangement skills alongside Ultra’s passionate vocal stylings and delivery.

The songs, pure class from start to finish. There’s the slap bass gospel inspired house of “SNL,” the theatrical “Stay,” the italodisco / Moroder-esque “Tears,” the New Wave influence of “Transformation,” the wild electroclash-era cover of Right Said Fred’s “I’m Too Sexy (Touch This Skin),” the silky smooth vocals of “Hey,” the 70’s disco-funk of “Taking Me High,” the powerful and rock infused “Lil Miss Baby,” the tougher than nails pop dance of “Life,” the uplifting and liberating “Luv 2 Bee,” the dance-meets-classical music clash of “Give It 2 U,” and finally, the theatrical dance rock hybrid “All The Money.” Black Stereo Faith is unlike anything on the market right now and certainly like you’ve never heard Ultra Naté or Quentin Harris before.

“I think the most important thing to us was to not limit or restrain ourselves with worries over where music is at this particular moment. When we were putting the initial ideas together I would just fish through everything and anything I liked as a jumpoff point. Pink Floyd, Pointer Sisters, Nine Inch Nails, Madonna, Timbaland, Chic, Tammi Terrell, Eurythmics, The Go-Go’s, Fleetwood Mac, Frankie Knuckles, The Stones, Kate Bush, Earth, Wind and Fire, Sinead O’Connor, Soft Cell, anything that moved me. The great thing about Quentin and what we were doing is that he was open and excited about all of it – no matter how quirky and left of center the idea. I think most listeners are music lovers and open to whatever makes them feel.” – Ultra Naté

“From the moment we started we had no rules with the kind of music we were making on this record. I didn’t feel any kind of pressure to make things this way or that way. We made whatever we were inspired by. Even with all the different genres we touch on from song to song, if you listen to Black Stereo Faith cohesively it all makes sense together. It’s all encompassing of dance music from rock to disco to urban. It’s not a one trick pony…” – Quentin Harris

Black Stereo Faith coincides with the 20th anniversary of the release of Ultra Naté’s all-time classic #1 hit, “Free” which was named by Billboard as one of the top Dance Club Songs of all time. Ultra Naté was also named by Billboard as the #12 top dance artist of all time.

Those in or who are planning to be in NYC this weekend are welcome to join Black Stereo Faith for their debut DJ performance as part of Silent Disco at Lincoln Center NYC for Midsummer Night Swing: Nu Disco Edition on Saturday, July 8th. Black Stereo Faith will also be performing live on Fox 5’s “Good Day New York” on Monday, July 10 in the 9AM hour.

Wooli releases “Back” / “Like I Used To” on Circus Records

Hailing from New York, the man that is Wooli has been making a massive sound since the tender age of six years old. With his Wooli project turning one year old this month, what better way to mark it than with his first release on Circus Records? This release features two very different styles of bass music, but still tied together with a sound we have seen him display in the past. The filthy dubstep uppercut that is “Back” has already been unleashed on adoring festival crowds by superstars of the scene: Skism, FuntCase and Snails, while the decidedly more emotive future-bass number, “Like I Used To,” is complimented with the awesome vocal and guitar talents of Eli Flynn.

Less than one year in, this East Coast boy has already toured the States with the likes of Bear Grillz, Excision, P0gman, Spag Heddy, Terravita, and Midnight Tyrannosaurus. This is a producer with the energy, the talent, and the sheer grit to climb to the top of the bass world and stamp it into submission. Wooli is about to blow your mind with a release of mammoth proportions.

A mammoth collaboration between Italian stars Yuga and Gary Caos, ‘Naked Funky’ hits the shelves on May 1st and is set to make big waves within the Dance music scene. As a first team-up, the Italian pair has come up with a funky and groovy, House inspired gem, adding another top-notch production to their release catalogues.

Angelo Paciotti, better known as Yuga or under his moniker Tradelove, has been one of the most talked about talents in recent years. Having reached Beatport’s global chart on many occasions, his signature piece has been ‘Rock The Casbah’ in 2011. On the other hand, Gary Caos has been a veteran heavyweight name for many years. Label boss at Casa Rossa, Gary Caos is not only a revered producer with renowned label signings and top support under his belt, but also a world touring DJ.

In tandem, Yuga and Gary Caos are now launching their latest wonder ‘Naked Funky’, contributing another grand feature on Kaisen Records’ ongoing release streak this year, following productions by the likes of: Leandro Da Silva, RoyTson and Mr.Saccardo.

?? ANNA, Michael Mayer en un B2B con Agoria, Eagles & Butterflies, Moscoman adn Red Axes close the line-up.
Pachá Barcelona doesn’t give up in its determination on throwing one of the best ever Off Week editions, which is why they’ve invited Agoria as the star of one of the events.
Sebastian Devaud, aka Agoria, grew between operas and architectural design with an artistic background that can be noticed in every one of his productions and performances. It could be said that the French is an electronic artisan, an unmistakable perfectionist who always focuses on the small details that define his peculiar sound. It doesn’t come as a surprise that big names in the industry such as Pete Tong, Seb Fontaine and Kevin Saunderson have praised his work. Pachá Barcelona will provide the opportunity to enjoy his sound during a B2B set with Michal Mayer, an essential figure in the young scene of Cologne with his Techno-Pop free of prejudices and a fundamental pillar of the label Kompakt. ANNA will be there too, a goddess of electronic music and one of the maximum exponents in the Brazilian Techno and Tech House scene, her specialty. Eagles & Butterflies, who since were discovered and signed by John Digweed on Bedrock have never stopped working, releasing on some of the most top labels: Innervisions, Get Physical or Noir, carries on the line-up with the Israeli Moscomon, creator of some of the best underground hits released by Correspondant and Eskimo Rec and founder of the label Disco Halal in which he expresses his personal and effective combination of Techno, New Wave, House and sound from Middle East. And Red Axes, the duo formed by the Israeli Dori Sadovnik and Niv Arzi, internationally famous for being great producers and remixers, close the line-up.
On Saturday 17th of June, Pachá Barcelona will once again hold an event that can’t be missed with the most avant-garde electronic.

Haul & Pull Up EP #3 is out now

The record contains four new tracks. First, we got Electone on there, an instrumental song with melodies even we were surprised we made them, trust us. Works like a charm as a soundtrack to hug people though.

Then we got Take It Low which features our friend Doubla J on vocals. This one is for the soundsystem crew … and basically everyone who wants to float on some serious bass waves.

Also on there is Pump Drop Wine, an uptempo club tune with a bassline we fell in love with. Had a surprisingly big amount of radio support on this one, so there might be something to it.

Last on there is our version of Bitch Better Have My Money which we recorded with our friend from the Bermuda Triangle, the great Otto von Schirach. If you don’t get it … you just don’t get it.

We would – as always – love if these songs would find a place in your heart, your car, your shower playlist or wherever else you think it might fit in. We made sure it also sounds pretty good on huge soundsystems.

And thanks again and again for making this possible and supporting what we do! Lets celebrate all this new music as soon as possible in a club & festival near you – until then, feel free to share & support the release, here’re some links.

Vlada D’Shake unveils ‘Mesmerising’ on Bonzai Progressive

Serbian DJ and producer Vlada D’Shake returns to Bonzai Progressive with the superb four-tracker entitled ‘Mesmerising’. His debut for Bonzai was back in 2015 with ‘Friday Night’ and since then he has shown up on guest mix duties on our ‘Bonzai Basik Beats’ radio show among other things. Since 2011 this guy has been churning out top quality cuts on various labels including Balkan Connection, Juicebox Music, Mistique Music and Stripped Digital to name just a few. His tracks are regularly picked up and featured in the sets of some of the world’s best-known jocks. This is a testament to the quality and style this guy offers and judging by his already extensive discography, it’s no real surprise. With four tracks on offer here we’re treated to some tasty moments that are sure to rip up the floors at any venue. Nice to have him back once more and we hope to see more in the future.

First up we have the solid progressive grooves of ‘Mesmerising’ with its tight drum arrangement that simply does not let up while cool vocals are littered throughout. An array of quirky sounds line up to deliver intricate patterns while a deep-rooted bassline dominates the lower end. A leftfield approach to the progressive sound that will not disappoint.

‘Good Times’ intros with a buzzing bass sound to the backdrop of closed hi hats and chunky kick drums that get us firmly on the way to the floor. Cool percussions form up to deliver a rhythmic groove alongside a deep probing bassline. Fading, echoing synths create a surreal vibe in the sound as a cacophony of spoken vocals fill the spectrum. Tougher synth stabs make an appearance giving the track an edge and making it a must have for the late night sessions.

‘Gekon’ sets out with a distinctly cosmic vibe right from the off thanks to some very nice synth work and creative FX. A punchy kick drum is leading the way here and is joined by a subtle, probing bassline that lurks on the low end menacingly. Sweeping pads create a cool atmosphere as spoken vocals add character to the sound. A haunting vibe washes over the track while retaining a dancefloor appeal. A superb slice that is not to be missed.

‘Shell Shock’ rounds up the superb pack and does so in style. In keeping with Vlada D’Shake’s creative thinking, this one also carries a distinct progressive vibe that will certainly grab a lot of attention. The track is a solid one full of tight beats and a serious grooving bassline alongside shuffling percussions that make up a fine flowing rhythm. The break throws up hypnotic pads and cool synths while that powerful bassline continues to dominate. Get this one in your sets, the perfect floor fodder.
