Uberjak’d releases ‘Back To Life EP’ on Mixmash

Hot on the heels of his August release of ‘Yahtzee’ on Dim Mak records, Uberjak’d yet again hits the dance floors hard with another chunk of Melbourne Bounce, this time in the shape of his brand new single ‘Back to Life’, complete with remixes, out now on Laidback Luke’s Mixmash.

‘Back to Life’ is true to form from Aussie dance pioneer Uberjak’d, seeing him release his trademark bass laden loops, vertigo inducing drops and soaring vocals on unsuspecting sound systems, whilst his legion of loyal fans will lap up another new release from their Australian hero. J-Trick, Luminox and Terace take on remix duty, adding their own unique touches whilst at the same time not losing the original hard hitting vibe of the track.

It’s been a rapid rise to the top for Adelaide’s Uberjak’d, which is testament to his tireless work ethic. Having mixed Ministry Of Sound’s ‘Clubbers Guide 2013’ as well as ‘The Annual 2014’, he saw his monthly podcast ‘Ubercast’ take the top spot in Australia on iTunes, which in turn lead to a top 10 spot in this years inthemix 50 (Australia’s biggest DJ poll). His raw talent has not gone unnoticed, now signed to massive labels Dim Mak, Ministry Of Sound and Mixmash, and with a slew of dates worldwide including Tomorrowland, a massive EU tour and Aoki’s Playhouse closing party at Pacha Ibiza, Uberjack’d has taken 2014 by absolute storm.

Dada Life unveils official video for ‘One Smile’

Irrepressible DJ/producer duo Dada Life are back to present their latest single, ‘One Smile’. Tapping into their exuberant, club-ready aesthetic, the track, also accompanied by an official video, is sure to enjoy plenty of rotation this summer.

Built around an infectious, feel-good vocal, the track radiates an energy that only the biggest and best dance records exhibit, as playful synth lines and Dada Life’s trademark big room bass carry it firmly into the realms of the dance floor. Typically bold vocoder work on the chorus is another a standout feature and is sure to add the euphoria of a track that feels ready to further solidify Dada Life’s reputation as one of dance music’s most fun-loving DJ duos.

With a series of European dates on the horizon, including headline appearances at both Pacha Ibiza and at Tomorrowland in Belgium, ‘One Smile’ looks set to add the growing momentum already underpinning one of the duo’s busiest summers to date. Backed by an army of loyal fans and with previous single ‘Born To Rage’ also having charted in the Top 5 at both Beatport and Hype Machine upon it’s release in April, expect it to propel Dada Life back to the top of the charts once again.

David Guetta announces new single ‘Blast Off’ and European Summer Season Dates

After hitting the #1 spot at Beatport for an unprecedented third time already this year with last club track ‘Bad’, David Guetta is back, this time in collaborative mood, with aussie DJ / Producer Kaz James. ‘Rock House’ smash ‘Blast Off’ was written at 30,000 feet during a flight between gigs whilst the pair were touring together on Guetta’s recent Asia run.

It blends Guetta’s huge, electro house rhythms with classic guitar riffs amidst a series of Kaz’s melodies and euphoric crescendos. Set for release on June 9th, it feels tailor-made for the dance floor and looks sure to be at the front of the major players record boxes this summer.

Galvanized by a rugged, 8-bar vocal that implores ravers to ‘put them hands up higher’, the track builds with heavy guitar riffs before exploding into life with a thumping lead bass line and twisted, strung-out synth interjects. Delivering the sort of club pressure that Guetta’s and James’s fans alike are guaranteed to love, expect ‘Blast Off’ to make serious waves on dance floors across the world.

To coincide with it’s release, David Guetta has also announced he is to kick off his ‘FMIF’ residency at Pacha Ibiza on Thursday, 29th May, ahead of taking in a bustling summer schedule. To be joined by Daddy’s Groove & Showtek, it follows hot off the back of an epic tour schedule that saw Guetta play a sold-out Spring residency at XS in Las Vegas, as well further sell out shows in Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Washington DC and New Orleans. He also embarked on a short Canadian tour and even found the time to play at Mexico’s largest dance music festival, Electric Planet in March.

As the only Ibiza DJ to hold two residences this summer, Guetta is also all set to launch David Guetta & Friends at Ushuaia on Monday, 30th June. To be hosted as a pool party scheduled to stay alive long into the night, expect this to recreate a festival atmosphere in one of Ibiza’s most infamous clubbing spaces.

Not content to stop there, Guetta is also confirmed to play headline festival slots in France, Germany, Estonia, Italy, Sweden, Iceland, Italy, Russia, Spain and Scotland before the season is out, in what’s shaping up to be another incredible summer for one of the world’s most iconic, globe-trotting DJs.

Kaz James has also announced he’s set to play alongside David at both Pacha and Ushuaia in Ibiza this summer, and has also confirmed he will have his own residency at Paradise Club in Mykonos. Having recently signed an extended deal with One Love Records, James, who already boasts remix work for the likes of Skrillex, Kaskade & The Gossip, as well as production credits for Macy Gray, Kelis and even The Neptunes, it’s clear that Kaz is all set for an equally exciting summer.
