Paris star Crayon drops video for “Ocean 7 Part 2 feat MC Gracy Hopkins” ( House/RnB/Deep)

After his EP “Flee”, the french producer with minimalist and sophisticated house music reveal himself under antoher side.

“Ocean 7 Part 2” is a perfect balance, lights synths contrast with the incisive voice and the acerbic verb of Gracy Hopkins. This new track evokes a modern romance, told by the rapper who brings a firmly urban touch to the soft and mind-blowing notes of Crayon.

A romance illustrated by a video clip to come with the single. Crayon and Gracy Hopkins blend themselves into a felted and poetic daily life, like spectators of a dawning story.

A trade between two world as well as the two artists reserve us some surprises for months to come.

Joakim drops new track and video for ‘Numb’, announces 4th LP

Today, one of France’s foremost electronic producers Joakim announces his 4th album, Samurai, by sharing a brand new track and accompanying video for ‘Numb’.

Evoking the ideas of transformation, ambiguity and artifice vs nature, the Adrian Yu directed music video appropriates and makes a parody of the YouTube phenomenon of make-up tutorials. Partially shot with a cheap 90s camcorder, the video also nods to the Japanese tradition of Kabuki make-up which inspired the cover art work for Samurai.

A very personal and conceptual body of work, Joakim’s forthcoming Samurai is about the artist’s journey between NY, Tokyo and Paris. In writing, Joakim was inspired by a range of influences from the literary (Mishima’s ‘Hagakure: Samurai Ethics & Modern Japan’), to the sonic (home-made electronic and “new age”’ style music) and the circumstantial (Japan and New York).

Samurai is out via Tigersushi / Because on 17th March, 2017.

The Chainsmokers Tap Indie Influence On Their Latest Single “Paris”

Zimmer shares live video for ‘Lost Your Mind (ft. Fhin)’

Zimmer’s new EP Ceremony unveils the hidden, more melancholic and darker side of the Parisian producer.

Inspired by his personal experiences, his multiple trips around the world and driven by the desire to pay tribute to his astrophysicist father, Zimmer explores a broader musical spectrum, navigating between dreamy downtempo and straight up danceloor house.

This new record starts Lost Your Mind, carried by the angel like voice of Fhin and a solar guitar. Blending textures and Indian vocals samples, Odyssée flirts with techno while remaining warm and cosmic. Ceremony ends on Fire, a slo mo number washed out by celestial keyboards and a beautiful steel drum melody.

Ceremony, Zimmer’s new EP will be available December 16 on Roche Musique. Lost Your Mind is now available.

Zimmer is part of the new wave of Paris producers redefining French electronic music, alongside Roche Musique label mates Darius, FKJ, Kartell and more.

Zimmer’s made a name for himself with a string of high profile remixes (MØ, Vallis Alps, Gallant, Fakear…) and the singles Galapagos and Saturday Love. His 2015 EP “Coming of Age” marks his transformation into a well rounded artist, with a more refined, minimalist sound. Recorded between Paris and Los Angeles, the EP oscillates between euphoric moments and nostalgia, seamlessly travelling between soundscapes.

But perhaps the best way to experience Zimmer’s music is to see him DJ. His busy touring schedule took him all around the globe with over 160 dates in the past two years, including sold out shows in NYC, SF and Paris. His religiously followed mixtape series keeps listeners have made him a true tastemaker of the house scene. With his new record « Ceremony », Zimmer is set to confirm his status among France’s biggest rising talents.

Eric Seti – Religion of Love

Once Unlimited presents ‘1 Second In Et3rnity’ the first EP by Eric Seti (Make your Transition!) from Paris. He kicks strong with this release, four tracks influenced by Detroit and its early rave sounds, including ‘Religion Of Love’ dedicated to people who died in the terrorist attacks in Paris.

Paris star Margaux Avril unveils new single ‘Soon’

A French and American dual-citizen, Margaux is definitely Parisian, but shares a bit of her heart with the Big Apple as well. She’s a songwriter, a singer, a musician, a photographer and a muse. Much more than your average clothes-horse, she’s the kind of girl all photographers and designers want to work with.

Her simple yet elegant taste does not betray fanciful creativity of her aristocratic heritage.

After the 2013 release of her French album with Capitol Records, she’s coming back refreshed with the ability to collaborate with the people she loves without any restriction to express herself freely. Here, the acclaimed French-British duo Postaal, her long time music partner Tristan Salvati, and Alex Gopher (mastering).

« Soon » is about going through this life, feeling lost, making your own mark, memories and feelings, and of course, love.

The sound is modern, sulfurous and solar. She says it’s “rough and refined in the meantime, ambiguous”.

Organically and fluidly, Margaux is starting to define her personality, her ambiguous mystery and her melancholy.

HAEZER & AGLORY Team Up For Ferocious “Ocelot”

Enter into the dark side of dance music with HAEZER and AGLORY. Two of dance music’s most unique acts have come together to bring “Ocelot” to Kannibalen Records. The industrious original fuses the sounds of each act’s respective home, being Cape Town and Paris. “Ocelot” is a minimalist masterpiece, with robust percussive structures that lay the basis for its power. This jungle-influenced record is completed by raspy synths, dirty basses and robotic vocal chops. Coming after the original is a full on jungle terror remix by Zeskullz that gets even more wild than the original.
