Tiesto and Wolfgang Gartner unleash the video for “We Own The Night”

Back in April, Tiesto and production pal Wolfgang Gartner let loose with “We Own The Night,” a progressive house tune and a half featuring the sultry pipes of Luciana. Now they’ve got the visual goods to accompany said club banger.

Michael Calfan – Mozaik (Original Mix)

After “Resurrection” was remixed by Axwell and boost onto the progressive house scene, the bar was set high for Michael Calfan’s second original production. “Mozaik” is a big room track, but not in the same way as his previous smash hit. It starts out with gentle melodic undertones that quickly fill in and become a song you can instantly begin bopping along to. The drop isn’t quite as big as “Resurrection,” but we heard some similar sounds as the aforementioned track and we’re liking Calfan’s unique sound. It’ll be interesting to see if the track gets picked up by the same names who propelled him into the limelight just a short while ago, but pair it with the right vocal and it just might happen. Check out the cool video preview below.

Jaz von D – Drive EP

Dutch DJ Jaz von D has packaged his next two singles together for his Drive EP, which has been released on Oxygen Records. The title track, “Drive,” begins with a progressive melody and sharp kicks, only to drop into heavy distorted bass as the track does a full rotation. The other, “Introfuse,” features similar progression only it builds up with synths for a far less abrupt crash. Jaz von D’s sound is something fresh for fans of any genre, so listen to the EP and find the Beatport link below the break.

Izzy Meusen feat. Irena Love – Until We Meet Again

Zander Bleck – Temptation (The Remixes)

From the man behind Lady Gaga’s music, Red One, we are presented with Zander Bleck. Perhaps the new face of rock n’ roll, perhaps not. Time will tell. His debut single ‘Temptation’ will be clogging up radio’s this summer, so get familiar.

Of course it wouldn’t be 2012 without a remix package for a pop song, though. Those enlisted, respectable names, mind you, did a fantastic job with each of their re-works

Morten Breum – Larva

Morten Breum, of Danish god status, today released his newest progressive house track ‘Larva’ exclusively on Beatport. Following up on his dubstep collaboration with fellow Danes Pegboard Nerds, ‘Larva’ certainly fits more cozily into the nook of the electro and house that one can normally expect from Breum.

Now a resident of LA, Breum was THE biggest DJ in Denmark prior to his relocation, even playing for the royal wedding of the crown prince of the country. That’s something that most American DJs can’t even dream about. ‘Larva’ is rumored to be the first of 15 tracks that Breum plans to release this year and he is setting the bar high from the get go. A steady, building progressive lead-in kicks up halfway through the tune and doesn’t abate. Don’t waste another second before listening and purchasing what is likely to be Breum’s breakthrough track on the American scene.

Dyro – Saeta (Original Mix)

Dyro is a name that is gaining popularity day by day following his release of “Raid” and his remix of “Kontiki.” Having worked with Hardwell for his Revealed imprint, it is no surprise that his style of hard-hitting bass and big room chords sounds so familar. Dyro’s next single, “Saeta,” may not be coming off Revealed, but still maintains that signature progressive house vibe. This strong effort from the Dutch DJ may not be his most versatile, but proves his consistency to do what he does best. “Saeta” has been released today and is available on Beatport.

Albin Myers – Bumbaclot (Original Mix)

Albin Myers does a great job of creating his own sound. It’s not quite dubstep, you can’t pin it down to electro, nor can it be classified as typical progressive. We like to call it — dynamic house. A blend of all three of the most prominent forms of house music today. Albin is currently being repped by the likes of Avicii and John Dahlback, he has been thrust into the scene with his remix of “Fade Into Darkness” and his original production of “Hells Bells.” Versatility is a talent within itself — needless to say — Albin qualifies as versatile.

Jonathan Johansson – Stockholm (John Dahlback Remix)

“Stockholm” is a more playful version of John Dahlback’s previous release “Life.” Though John has created multiple hits and been around for a while, it seems as though he is still flying under the radar. The vocals are in Swedish — so don’t ask us what they mean — but our best guess is that it’s a tribute to the city of Stockholm. Just a couple of days back, Alesso and Sebastian Ingrosso were tweeting how much they missed their hometown. There must be something special about the city — and this sensitive progressive tune is a keeper.
