R3hab – The Bottle Song (The Remixes)

“The Bottle Song” introduced the world to R3hab in 2011 and put his unique sound on the map. Over a year later, R3hab is releasing the remix package of his bleep-heavy classic, which includes work from Dyro, Dannic, D-Wayne, and Darth & Vader. The ripping electro energy from the original has transformed into a movement of its own – what we know today as chainsaw madness. Four DJs each take on the track with their own spin that is distinctive to their skill set and the aggressive electro-house. Listen to the remixes below the break and head to Beaport where the package has been released on Wall Recordings.

Dev ft Enrique Iglesias – Naked (R3hab Remix)

R3hab still has time crank out remixes even in the middle of Miami Music Week and Ultra. His latest work, a remix of Dev and Enrique Iglesias’ “Naked,” blends a variety of sounds we’ve heard recently from R3hab. The track incorporates a progressive house bridge that leads to a spooky chainsaw drop mingled with dirty Dutch bleeps.

R3hab – Chainsaw The Night

The distinct “chainsaw” sound is something R3hab has received some criticism for, mainly as it’s used in just about very remix of his which gives many of his releases a generic sound. He doesn’t seem to care what people think however, as he tags many of his Soundcloud tracks as “chainsaw” and often used the chainsaw hashtag (#chainsaw) on Twitter. To cap it all off, he is giving away a free track called Chainsaw The Night.

Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso – Calling (R3hab and Swanky Tunes Remix)

R3hab and Swanky Tunes give us a preview on their take of Sebastian Ingrosso and Alesso’s “Calling.”

Eric Turner ft. Lupe Fiasco & Tinie Tempah – Angel & Stars (R3hab Remix)

Fadil takes Eric Turner’s hip hop heavy track “Angel & Stars” and gives it the R3hab treatment. He turns the energy up to 11 on this one, combining all of his patented sounds into a massive mash up of everything we love about R3hab – chainsaw synths, melodic breakdowns, and massive drops.

R3hab vs Denis Naidanow ft. Juan Maga & Lil Jon – Shuri Shuri (R3hab Remix)

R3hab and his chainsaw madness never stop, constantly creating more remixes, this week its “Shuri Shuri”.

R3hab – Chainsaw Showers

In continuing his run of chainsaw theme giveaways, R3hab is releasing this brand new track Chainsaw Showers for free download. It’s a pretty fun electro house song and I’m really surprised it’s a free download with such high production quality. R3hab has definitely been demonstrating some generosity lately!

Labrinth – Last Time (R3hab Remix)

I am oh so envious of the British music scene. Not only are EDM and dubstep widely pervasive and accepted in the UK, even their pop music is enjoyable. Singers/rappers like Example, Ellie Goulding, Tinie Tempah, Dizzee Rascal, Foreign Beggars are the equivalent of our Britney Spears, Ke$ha, Miley Cyrus, Lil Wayne, Flo Rida, etc. It’s just simply not fair. Timothy McKenzie, or Labrinth, is another example of a standout British vocalist. His single “Last Time” has already gained the remix treatment from none other than Knife Party, having created a monster of a remix. Going in a more melodic, club-friendy direction, R3hab brings us his rendition of the British pop track. In the same fashion as his recent remix to Adrian Lux’s “Fire”, R3hab opts for a progressive house sound, abstaining from the powerful, grinding synths for which he has become known. What do you think of R3hab’s new approach to his tracks? Personally, I find myself missing the high octane, adrenaline-infused madness of his previous tracks, yet I enjoy the cheerful charisma of these new tracks. A fusion of his older and new style would be my preference.
