Eximinds & Sarah Russell – Pain Into Purpose Bringing a fresh sound with an edge and warmth to the progressive scene, Russian newcomer due Eximinds have been building momentum this year with a string of high quality remixes and releases. So far they have remixed such names as Paul Oakenfold, Beat Service, Bobina & Temple One and landing them on Enhanced, Armada and Adrian Raz Recordings.

Punks Jump Up ft. Dave 1 – Mister Overtime (Gigamesh Remix)

It’s hard to deny your feet the pleasure of boogying whenever Nu-disco hits the ear drums. Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Gigamesh has been illuminating the genre through his remixes with 80s synth lines and classic disco components, most notably with his remix of “Pumped Up Kicks” in 2011. Commissioned by a duo from the UK, Punks Jump Up, to collaboratively push the Nu-disco sound, Gigamesh throws a quicker-paced synth onto “Mister Overtime” that seems perfect to accompany some summer driving. With the vocals from another Nu-disco giant, Chromeo’s Dave 1, this track is sure to get anyone moving. Check out Gigamesh’s SoundCloud for more, and grab the release on Beatport now.

Going Quantum – Hello EP

Monstecat’s resident DJ, Going Quantum has gone off on his own and produced a few tracks by himself and with other Monstercat regulars namely Stephen Walking.  His first track, Hello has been used my many big artists to start off their sets, such as Liquid Stranger’s Bionic Beatdown mix.  Recently GQ announced that he was going to be releasing a remix EP with remixes of Hello. This EP drops today, yes it’s still the 7th here in California, with huge dubstep and drum & bass remixes from Stephen Walking, Ephixa, and Centra.

Purchase it on Beatport here, and make sure to support the artists with a ‘like’ or a ‘share’ on facebook. Also GQ is doing a special stream for this EP release, he will be doing a nonstop live stream for every spot the original track Hello goes up on the Beatport charts he will do 5 mins. That means if Hello gets up to the Beatport #1 for dubstep GQ will have to stream for 8 hours straight! Lets make this dream a reailty guys.

Tune In Tokyo – Ray Of Love (Denzal Park + DallasK Remix)

“Ray Of Love” is a relatively unknown track by Tune In Tokyo that will surely gain a lot more attention thanks to Denzal Park and DallasK’s remixes. Denzal Park deliver a progressive gem beautifully incorporating the vocals  into a joyful drop filled with deep cutting bass lines, which are nothing short of dance evoking. Their original mix of “Nammos” and remix to Rebecca & Fiona’s “Luminary Ones” are prime examples of the kind of damage Denzal Park are capable of. On the completely other side of the spectrum electro-house producer Dallas K puts forth a melodic tune demonstrating his well developed productional skills  at the young age of 20. Be sure to play both remixes for a perfect start to your saturday afternoon.

Cazzette – Bjornstammen (Original Mix)

Cazzette has been working to finely craft ‘dub house’ as its own sub genre, and quite simply, it works. “Bjornstammen” stars off with a mild kick that leads into an interesting Caribbean / African-style melody before bringing in the grungy dub bass that characterizes Cazzette’s music. The song sounds all over the place at first, but all the random noises come together fully with the lyrics — which are in Swedish. They translate to, “Wherever I turn in the world, I still stand here with empty hands, Waiting for something to save me.” It’s nice to see Cazzette releasing an original production given their love of crafting remixes, but unfortunately we don’t have a release date for this track yet..

Sub Focus – Out The Blue ft. Alice Gold (Official Video)

Check out the video for the forthcoming single from Sub Focus, due for release on April 29th with remixes from Laidback Luke, Xilent, and XXXY. DnB lives!

Etnik – Vino

19 year old producer Etnik has got me counting down the days until his newest EP, Vino drops.  The title track, Vino is full of huge drops, analog sounding synths and a certain dark yet brilliant sound that has become rare in todays EDM scene. The Vino EP will feature a first class set of remixes from Rynecologist, NT89 and Borussia.  The EP is due to drop on April 10th.

Emeli Sandé – Next To Me (Richard Dinsdale Bootleg)

Lauer – Trainmann (Tensnake Remixes)

Phillip Lauer’s Phillips may not be out yet, but Hamburg’s Tensnake has already taken the reins on a pair of remixesfor one of the LP’s tracks. And with them he does what he does best—knocks out a pair of killer disco-house tunes with a tight bass, hot vocal samples, a little cowbell, and a whole lot of groove.

Gotye – Somebody That I Used To Know (WeSmile Remix)

You may-or-may-not be thinking ‘Oh, God. Not another Gotye Remix.’ It wouldn’t be the worst thing to think. It’s the trendy track to remix (though, the only ones that matter are the dBerrie and Myndset remixes.) Another one will join them upon its release.

WeSmile is a fantastic duo hailing from Sweden. Yes, like ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ remixes, progressive Swedish producers are a dime-a-dozen. These guys will actually be a factor though.
