Major Lazer Premieres “Run Up” Video ft. PartyNextDoor and Nicki Minaj

Major Lazer’s video for “Run Up,” their smash hit featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR and Nicki Minaj, premieres today.

The video was directed by Paul, Luc and Martin, the creative collective of french star Stromae under his Mosaert label, and produced by Phantasm.

“The idea was to laugh at ourselves and at the unconditional love we bear to our smartphones,”say the directors Paul, Luc and Martin of the video. “Humor and absurdity came naturally in our speech because our will was not to accuse someone or something but just exaggerate it to foster reflection.”

“Run Up” has been streamed more than 200 million times to date and is climbing Spotify and radio charts globally. Rolling Stone praises the song’s “suave blend of high-pitched vocal samples, warped guitar chords and a signature Caribbean groove.”

Furthermore, the band’s documentary Give Me Future, filmed at their historic 2016 show inHavana, Cuba, premiered earlier this year at Sundance to rave reviews and is set for release later this year.

Major Lazer is currently touring worldwide, continuing their massive two year run. Last year’s“Cold Water,” featuring Justin Bieber and MØ, reached #1 on the Top 40 airplay chart following its #2 debut on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 debut on iTunes in 68 countries.

Manufactured Superstars debut album “Party All The Time”

After an already illustrious career, one of dance music’s most multifaceted duos Manufactured Superstars will finally unveil their debut full length album Party All The Time on December 4 via Black Hole Recordings.

The sixteen-track selection includes previously-released hits like “Magnetic” off their #1 EP on iTunes Dance, “Like Satellites” which topped Billboard’s Dance chart for 20+ weeks and a disco version of “Take Me Over.” The LP also boasts a bevy of new tunes such as “Great Escape (featuring Danni Rouge),” “Lift Off (feat. Fingazz),” “Carry You Home (feat. Iossa),” “Party All The Time (feat. Megan Perry),” and their latest smash collaboration “Let Me Be Your Fantasy” with Natalie Peris and Inpetto which covers the famous 90’s record by Baby D.

The duo has spent two years perfecting their debut LP, splitting their time between producing and touring with an average of 150 tour dates per year. Party All The Time is defined by its saccharine synth-work and soaring, emotive vocals, displaying Manufactured Superstars’ house-driven wheelhouse and dedication to their core philosophy of having as much fun as possible with their music.

The party-starting pair is known for their signature NASA spacesuit costumes and spinning uptempo, genre-bending sets that undulate spontaneously, often times doling out upwards of 100 tracks in the span of a two-hour performance. Having taken center stage at festivals the world over including Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival and Global Dance Festival to name a few, Manufactured Superstars are heralded as stadium-smashers who ignite dancefloors wherever they go.

Outside of their music-making career, the masterminds behind Manufactured Superstars are shrewd businessmen. Bradley Roulier and Shawn Sabo were integral in founding online music distribution network Beatport back in 2004 as an alternative to iTunes that specialized in electronic music and culture, and in 2013 sold their shares to SFX. Bradley is also the owner of Denver’s Beta Nightclub which was named the #1 club in America by Rolling Stone in 2013.

Martin Garrix & Tiesto “The Only Way Is Up” (out today)

Right at the top of the highlights coming from this year’s Miami Music Week was the news that two of dance music’s biggest names – Martin Garrix and Tiësto – had joined forces on a groundbreaking new song – “The Only Way Is Up.” The song, which also appears in a new 7UP commercial, premiered live at the Ultra Music Festival with Martin Garrix joining Tiësto on stage for a performance to cap off Friday night’s festivities.

Released today, May 4th, on Musical Freedom, “The Only Way Is Up” is THE festival season smash and the title sums it all up for Martin Garrix & Tiësto. With the young superstar on a meteoric rise to fame and the worldwide icon joining forces there’s nothing stopping them – “The Only Way is Up.”

“I’m a big fan of Martin’s music and his skills as a DJ and producer. The creative process flowed naturally from the start and I’m very happy with how the song turned out. There’s a reason why Martin is one of the hottest artists on the planet right now,” Tiësto says.

“The opportunity for me to work with my hero Tiësto was such an incredible experience. We really got to combine both of our visions on this track and the result is simply amazing. Couldn’t be more pleased with the end result,” Martin Garrix says.

Tiësto is a worldwide superstar who was voted “The Greatest DJ of All Time” by Mixmag and the “#1″ DJ by Rolling Stone. He opened the 2004 Athens Olympic Games and has headlined festivals around the globe including Ultra Music Festival, Stereosonic, Coachella, Tomorrowland/TomorrowWorld and Electric Daisy Carnival; and has a storied residency at Hakkasan Las Vegas Restaurant and Nightclub and Wet Republic pool at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. Artists ranging from Kanye West and Coldplay to Katy Perry and John Legend have personally tapped him for high-profile remixes, while Guess, AKG and Audiofly have collaborated with him on a fashion line and headphone brands, respectively. His 2014 album A Town Called Paradise yielded his first two gold singles in the U.S. with the singles—”Wasted” [featuring Matthew Koma] and “Red Lights”—while a medley from the album also soundtracks a presentation at the Bellagio fountain in Las Vegas, a first for a dance music artist. With Sirius XM, he launched the “Club Life” channel (the only dance music artist to do so), nodding to his acclaimed compilation brand of the same name. In February 2015, Tiësto was awarded a Grammy in the Best Remixed Recording, Non Classical category for his remix of John Legend’s “All Of Me.”

At only 18-years old, having signed to Spinnin’ Records and backed by Scooter Braun, Dutch DJ superstar Martin Garrix, has become one of electronic dance music’s youngest superstars, amassing a chart-topping, high-streaming musical legacy along the way. Leaping 36 places to #4 of the DJ Mag Top 100 charts in 2014, garnering both the attention of Billboard’s prestigious “21 Under 21” as well as Forbes’ “30 Under 30” list and dropping his first BBC Essential Mix, Martin Garrix’s story is only just beginning. His global smash hit single “Animals” charted at #1 in the UK and reached international platinum status with to date more than 100 million streams on Spotify and 400 million views on YouTube. Entering 2015 with high-profile shows and festivals on the calendar and a brand new residency at Las Vegas’ super club Omnia, Martin’s ambitions continue to ramp up. He’s currently been working in the studio finishing new tracks for his debut album, including collaborations with Usher (“Don’t Look Down” is out now!), and Ed Sheeran (“Rewind Repeat It”), among many others.

Your Shot USA and Tiesto Will Train A New Wave Of DJs

LOS ANGELES, CA – April 24 – YOUR SHOT, one of the world’s biggest and most exciting DJ competitions from Australia, will make its U.S. debut this year on Vevo. As the dance music revolution sweeps the country, Your Shot powered by 7UP will run a six-week competition to discover and train America’s next wave of DJs. The top 6 finalists will go to Las Vegas to participate in a week of intensive DJ challenges and mentoring with Tiësto and other notable DJs, resulting with one Your Shot contestant winning the title and taking to the stage to open for Tiësto, who has been fundamental in helping to launch the careers of some of the world’s best known DJs including Hardwell, Martin Garrix and Oliver Heldens, to name a few.

“I’m so excited about Your Shot because it takes the idea of the DJ competition and turns it on its head. This contest really provides aspiring DJs with an opportunity to realize their dreams. Many times people don’t know how or where to get started with DJ’ing but the great thing about Your Shot is that win or lose, they get a platform to learn, grow and achieve great things as long as they are focused and dedicated,” Tiësto says.

Since its launch six years ago in Australia, Your Shot has helped nurture and transform the lives of thousands of aspiring DJs, as well as bring new life to the Australian dance music scene. Contest entries in Australia consistently exceed those of televised reality competition shows, including Australian Idol and X-Factor, in number of entries.

Trium Entertainment will produce the web series. Your Shot will be distributed online on Vevo.

HONEYHONEY REVEAL FIRST SINGLE FROM NEW ALBUM

(March 26, 2015 – Los Angeles, CA) LA-based duo HONEYHONEY are giving fans a sneak peek at their first single, “You And I,” from their third full-length release, III, due out June 9 on Rounder Records. Recorded in Nashville and produced by Dave Cobb (Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson), III delivers straight-from-the-gut honesty and elegance of storytelling that makes the new album both cathartic and electrifying. A full tour schedule was recently announced, including dates across the country with stops in Nashville, Los Angeles, Denver and New York, as well as a slot on this year’s Wakarusa Festival, with more dates still to be announced.

First Listen: “You And I”

The follow up to 2011’s Billy Jack (named one of the top albums of the year by American Songwriter), III finds lead singer/banjo player/violinist Suzanne Santo and vocalist/guitarist Ben Jaffe twisting their gritty, harmony-driven brand of Southern-flavored rock & roll through tales of lost souls, broken boys, and girls with gold in their spit. While the album finds HONEYHONEY offering their most finely crafted melodies and richly textured sound to date, the band also embodies a loose and scrappy energy drawn out with some help from Cobb. “Dave never let me obsess over my vocals,” says Santo, whose sultry but tender voice intensifies the intimacy of each track. “He’d just be like, ‘Nope, that was raw, we got it, we’re good.'” Adds Jaffe: “He didn’t really allow us to overthink anything, which is great for what we do – the more barriers you can remove to get to the soul of it, the better.”

Rolling Stone recently named the highly anticipated record one of “20 Reasons To Love This Year,” declaring that “the fierce, ball-busting attitude that steered the boy-girl twosome during their DIY days is still on full display.”
