ATB Celebrates Twenty-Year Anniversary With Release of Tenth Studio Album, “Next”

AMSTERDAM, April 21st, 2017 – It’s been three long years for ATB fans waiting for a new album to drop, but their patience has finally been rewarded. In the year that marks ATB’s twentieth anniversary as a leading artist in electronic music, he launches his tenth studio album: ‘neXt’.

An exceptional crossover album that digs into modern-day trance music as much as it includes down-tempo gems, ‘neXt’ embodies all twenty years of ATB’s blooming career. It’s a next step in his musical development, delivering on every level while featuring a wide range of collaborations and guest artists across the spectrum. Whereas the first part of ‘neXt’ offers a fresh take on the ATB sound that’s been filling out clubs for two decades, the second part of the album focuses heavily on the chill atmospheres and ambient soundscapes ATB also considers part of his arsenal, totaling to twenty-five new tracks that show just how timeless the ATB sound truly is.

The huge success of ATB started with ‘9PM (Till I Come)’, which earned him a #1 hit in the UK in the late ’90. Since, his musical career has been nothing short of legendary. Previous album ‘Contact’ shot straight into the top 5 of the German charts in 2014 and as a DJ, ATB has headlined festivals all over the world, earning him a coveted Top 20 spot in the list of “Most Popular DJs in the World of All Time”. Judging by the consistent and unwavering support of his social following of over two million strong and the ease with which ATB churns out high-end compositions, there’s a whole lot more to expect from the gifted songwriter, musician, producer and DJ. ‘neXt’ is sure to keep fans satisfied until then.

New Headliner Roots Manuva confirmed for Farmfest 2017

ROOTS MANUVA joins previously announced headliners Shobaleader One, Squarepusher’s Live band performing Jazz Funk versions of Squarepusher Classics, plus This Is The Kit, Nightmares on Wax, Greg Wilson, Actress (DJ Set) and more…

Roots Manuva has been described as one of the most influential artists in British musical history and that’s a fair reflection of a man that’s remains at the pinnacle of the UK hip hop scene some 18 years after debut album Brand New Second Hand.

Farmfest is delighted to have secured such a vital talisman and the headline slot will see a full band performing tracks from classic albums such as Run Come Save Me and Slime & Reason, and will no doubt include dance floor smash Witness (1 Hope) – a track that’s likely to send the crowd into a grime-groove frenzy. The show will also feature plenty from latest album, 2015’s Bleeds – a darker, more brooding affair that’s been beautifully arranged and produced.

Due to an unforeseen European booking error – a circumstance that’s out of the festival’s hands – Farmfest is disappointed to have to announce that Tony Allen will no longer be performing at this year’s festival. But we are thrilled to welcome Roots Manuva instead for what promises to be both a powerful and memorable show, and one befitting of a headline slot under the stars on the farm.

Andy C Drops New Single For Ram Records

Built for the rave and forthcoming on Ram Records, Andy C’s ‘What Bass’ has been roadtested during his 13 week XOYO residency, and was given its first radio play on his Beats 1 show. This dancefloor-ready cut is the first new music from Andy C since 2016’s ‘New Era’, and will precede a new single for Atlantic Records later this year.

With over 40 awards to date, Andy C’s career has been nothing short of a phenomenon. He’s sold-out Alexandra Palace and Brixton Academy with his own solo shows, played headline slots at the world’s greatest festivals including Creamfields, Glastonbury, EDC, and SW4, and released a string of phenomenal crossover anthems like ‘Heartbeat Loud’ and club tracks like ‘New Era’. He’s also the go-to remixer for the likes of Major Lazer, Sigala, London Grammar and beyond, and the d&b figure recently chosen to host the first drum & bass radio show on Apple Music’s Beats 1, broadcast to over 100 countries.

As the owner and figurehead for Ram Records, which celebrates 25 years in 2017, Andy’s nurtured and developed huge headline artists such as Chase & Status, Wilkinson and Sub Focus, turning it into one of the world’s most respected independent operations across recordings and now festivals like EDC Las Vegas, Creamfields, and SW4 where Ram have hosted their own arenas and stages.

Andy’s main signature motif as a DJ is that he’s guaranteed to be packing tracks that no other DJ has. Hunting, digging, searching and signing: he is constantly immersed in new music. Not only does this ensure a wholly unique experience when you see him live, but it also gives Ram Records a front row seat when it comes to spotting new artists… As the likes of Loadstar, Wilkinson, Calyx & TeeBee, Frankee, Delta Heavy, Culture Shock, DC Breaks, Hamilton, Mind Vortex, Chords and many more can happily confirm.

On 31 March, Andy completed his 13 week residency run at XOYO. The first d&b artist chosen by the renowned London club, tickets for his entire residency sold out far in advance. The Friday night run allowed Andy to nurture a weekly crowd on a par with his legendary sets at The End, bringing together older heads and d&b’s new converts together under one roof.

Summer 2017 festival dates include Lovebox, Let it Roll festival, Snowbombing, Lost & Found, Wild Life, Parklife, Dour Festival, Nu Forms, Boardmasters, Dreambeach, Innovation in the Sun, Tomorrowland, Reading Festival, Leeds Festival, Bestival, Middlelands and many more to be announced.

Lodato wins DJ Times remix of the year award

Lodato is an artist who, until a year or two ago, was unknown. The speed at which he has found the limelight is stunning, and his incredible ability as a producer has now been recognised by the industry. The DJ Times have announced Lodato as the winner of their ‘Best Remix of the Year Production’ for his remix of Twenty One Pilots ‘Heathens’. After an astounding six months, which has seen multiple charting hits such as the original production ‘Older’ and an official remix for Clean Bandit, he shows no sign of abating.

Real name Salvatore, Lodato grew up in New York alongside his long-time collaborator Joseph Duveen who also features on his hits ‘Breathe Again’ and ‘Older’. A producer from a young age, he has honed his talent and with his last few releases has shown just how talented he is. With his tracks being picked up by industry heavyweights such as Overdrive, Interscope and Atlantic Records, he is quickly becoming presented to the world as a production powerhouse with a huge future.

The award is indicative of how respected Lodato has already become, and is sure to be the first of many in the future. The revered DJ Times awards are notorious for giving out awards to only those most deserving and it means a lot to Lodato having won. Other winners at the Miami awards show last month included The Chainsmokers and Marshmello. The show was hosted by many artists including Martin Garrix, Armin Van Buuren and Steve Aoki.

Adding the Pioneer CDJ inspired award to his trophy cabinet will fill Lodato with pride, but his previous successes with his singles, including reaching #1 on the Billboard Charts with ‘Older’, mean he will inevitably be striving for even bigger wins in the future.
