Flosstradamus, FKi1st & graves – Came Up feat. Post Malone & Key! (Remixes)

Following the success of ‘Came Up’, Flosstradamus, FKi1st and graves are releasing a remix package featuring Jorgen Odegard, Rickyxsan, graves & Clips x Ahovy and Casper & B. The package will be out on the 6th of January on Ultra Music.

First up, Jorgen Odegard builds up from a melodic chorus, dropping into a heavy trap-like rhythm layered with bubble-like synths. Meanwhile, Rickyxsan’s slow tempo remix is filled with staccato sounds.
graves & Clips X Ahoy’s edit starts off slow before dropping into a crescendo with an energetic, electro-influenced feel. Lastly; a remix from Casper & B., a vocal-driven track with a rumbling bassline giving the original track an urban touch from the pair.

Released in 2016, ‘Came Up’ featuring Post Malone and Key! amassed over 1 million plays on Soundcloud alone, becoming a summer anthem as it did the rounds at festivals. Now with the release of this remix package, there is version of Came Up for any set, further enriching Ultra Music’s ever- growing roster.

Flosstradamus releases “Came Up ft. Post Malone” remix package

Since unleashing their latest single “Came Up” with a live performance featuring Post Malone at Lollapalooza this summer, Flosstradamus has received widespread support for the collaboration with FKi1st and Graves from both the electronic and hip hop communities. Acquiring over 1.2 million streams on SoundCloud alone since the track’s initial release, “Came Up” now receives the remix treatment from four up-and-coming trap artists.

The first track on the remix EP is a future bass remix from Jorgen Odegard, the winner of Bro Safari’s Splice x Mysteryland remix contest in 2015. Jorgen shifts the track into a more instrumentally-driven tune, using the vocals only as a hook that lead into poppy trap breakdowns. Also fusing more future bass elements into their remix, Rickyxsan’s rework slows down the track a notch with an influx of bubbly future bass synthesizers.

The last two tracks on the EP give “Came Up” a different feel, first with graves & Clips X Ahoy delivering a trapped out VIP edit ready for the festival mainstage and then with Casper and B, turning the track to a feel-good groove filled with uplifting and saccharine melodies.

Copper And Lead ft. Riko Dan (filmed in Uganda and England)

While in East Africa for some shows this summer, we decided to shoot our newest video in Kampala, the vibrant capital of Uganda. With the help of a great team assembled by producer & director David Cecil (Blue Imp Productions), we’ve been able to create a comic action movie that is as high on action as it is low on budget.

Plus we learned a lot of useful life lessons – like how to smuggle various machetes and bags full of fake drugs and dollars through multiple military checkpoints. That Insenene (grilled Grasshoppers) is our new favorite snack. Or how to wear the classic “German tourist” outfit including bum bags and the classy white socks + sandals combination …without dying on the inside. There is tons more, just have a look.

Ah yes, we also managed to get the original London City Warlord Riko Dan in on it too, representing with his crew on an inner city rooftop. Still so happy he’s on that track!

Midnight Sun debuts with ‘To The Whistle Remix’

Debuting on the international Dance music scene, Midnight Sun is set to make waves with his unique House infused flavours. A mysterious figure from Belgium, Midnight Sun is making his first appearance on the 5th of December, 2016, putting his signature on a remarkable rendition of AYTO’s hit single ‘To The Whistle’.

Having been locked down in the studio for several months, cooking up his trademark blend of House sounds, Midnight Sun has decided to launch his project before the end of 2016, to make way for a busy and exciting 2017. Mobin Master’s Safari Music has been the first label to back-up the emerging talent, including his highlight rework amongst their four-track remix pack of ‘To The Whistle’, bringing back some summer vibes to the cold winter months. Midnight Sun has now joined the Safari Music family, which has been renowned to have a good eye for talent since their inception in 2008, signing important artists like: Deorro, J-Trick, Polina, Tate Strauss and many others.

Starring amongst Spherical Dice and O2&SRK’s versions of ‘To The Whistle’, together with the chart-hitting original mix, Midnight Sun’s remix brings a fresh taste of Tropical House influences, uplifting melodies and deep arrangements, adding a top-notch track to the Australian imprint’s catalogue. A quality first effort from Midnight Sun, ‘To The Whistle Remix’ is certainly the beginning of what can become a long and successful career for the Belgian artist, so be sure to keep an eye on him in the coming months.

Jason Gaffner – ‘When The Sun Goes Down’

Los Angeles artist Jason Gaffner shares his sun-drenched pop single ‘When The Sun Goes Down’, the next taste of his forthcoming EP ‘Journeys’.

With metallic synths, an ear-worm baseline and Gaffner’s soulful vocals, ‘When The Sun Goes Down’ is a track that evokes the magic of summer nights.

“I wrote ‘When The Sun Goes Down’ when I was driving on the freeway in LA and there was this crazy beautiful sunset. It really made an impact on me and I literally pulled over and started writing the song right off the freeway. It was such a powerful sunset I felt like it was almost magical outside. There’s just something about those long summer days and summer nights that make it seem like anything can happen.” – Jason Gaffner

Rather than producing a typical tropical, summer track, Gaffner has taken the surreal sight and feeling of a sunset and translated that into synths that are cosmic; soaring beyond the ordinary. The billowing drums that preface each chorus creates a strong, demanding energy, like that of an incredible sunset.
