Jounce Kicks The Bass With New 3 Track EP Out October 5th

West Coast DJ and producer Jounce is back in action this fall with a brand new EP titled “Kick The Bass,” out October 5 on all digital retail stores via Hammarica Records.

The 3 track EP explores the darker side of deep electro, bass-driven melodies, thumping beats and rhythmic riffs. With party igniters “Time To Get Blown,” “Go Now,” and “Kick The Bass,” Jounce delivers pulsating and sexy big room house that will leave listeners moving and shaking not just on the dancefloor, but at the office, the gym, and everywhere in between.

In the words of DJ Jounce: “I’ve been working on a lot of music lately, and these three particular tracks seemed to complement each other, so it was only fitting to combine them on this EP. I’m not one to “turn down” much, and I believe these three songs are a reflection of that feeling. Think of them as an earful of your best friend’s amphetamines, but without the guilt. This is baby making music! Unless of course, you prefer the slow and sappy type songs.”

ABOUT JOUNCE
Self-named after a physics term, Jounce has always had a passion for music since a young age. He was fortunate enough to have music programs in his public schools, and considered himself a band geek and was also in a rock band growing up. After a chance opportunity seven years ago from a friend to learn the art of DJ’ing and transition into resident nightclub DJ, Jounce realized his deep appreciation for electronic music and dove full steam into producing and performing.

Jounce is based in Los Angeles, California and has toured internationally including Ibiza, Las Vegas, Miami, Costa Rica, Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and throughout Asia. His music has played on KALX 90.7 FM (Berkeley), KDVS 90.3 FM (UC Davis), as well as on internet radio alongside influences such as Swedish House Mafia, Calvin Harris, Showtek, Tiesto and Hardwell.

Wayne & Woods – VOID [Out Now]

Void Records is a record label ran by Swedish phenom Simon Widman, most notably known as the man and power behind the iron giant Wayne & Woods. Void Records is simply a home for good music of all genres, not just for current trends in the EDM world. To signify the labels 10th official release, Wayne & Woods is back with a stellar groove sensation titled ‘Void’. This studio effort is a drum sensation, groove infested killer of a track.

Wayne & Woods has undoubtedly become a global phenomenon due to past releases throughout the past year. Other than having been signed to Swedish House Mafia’s and Size Records label boss Steve Angello’s very own imprint, Wayne & Woods consistency has not let down a bit. Possessing such a peculiar sound design, the production strength has grown tremendously throughout the discography. Having releases on world renowned labels such as Size Records, Cr2 Recordings, Avant/Garde, and kicking off their very own imprint “Void Records” with Lambarai, Wayne & Woods has become a familiar name when you’re talking about house music’s most talented.

Brand new studio project L’Tric (Ivan Gough and Andy Jaimes) present the hilarious video for their throwback track ‘This Feeling’

Ivan, who is widely regarded as one of Australia’s first and most accomplished dance music exports, is behind some of electronica’s biggest anthems. A pioneer in the game, he’s responsible for putting Australia’s progressive house culture on the global map – from Ibiza to New York, Canada to the UK and everywhere in between. Ivan can boast having a string of timeless releases under his belt, including his smashes with TV ROCK such as “Been A Long Time”, Axwell favourite “In The Air” and ARIA award winning “Flaunt It”. Other collaborations include the Size/Neon co-releases “Noxu”, “Kukatu” & “Boom” plus the Grammy nominated, ARIA & APRA Award winning “In My Mind” (alongside Feenixpawl and Georgi K), which was without doubt, one of 2012’s biggest EDM records; a staple in the Swedish House Mafia sets through their final World tour.

The past 10 years have seen the steady ascendancy of Melbourne’s Andy Jaimes into the upper echelon of Australia and the rest of the World’s premiere DJs, producers and remixers. Better know under his Sgt Slick moniker, the level of his consistency in the studio, coupled with his unwavering motivation and dedication on the decks has made him the go-to-guy in all three dance music categories. Andy is behind some of the genre’s all time mega releases, dominating the coveted Beatport Top 10 Chart with records like “Everyday” and “Like This” plus club smashes like the ARIA Award winning “White Treble, Black Bass” and ARIA # 1 “Automatic Machine”. Always pushing the envelope, now L.A. based Andy continues to play a leading role in shaping and crafting the quality output of L.A.’s “MyVice” production house and is forging his path across the US with a string of high profiling headlining gigs.

Despite crossing paths frequently as DJs, as artists signed to the same record labels and being out and about in Australia’s heaving club scene, Ivan and Andy had never collaborated musically until one hot afternoon in Los Angeles, where they decided to jump in the studio together to ‘see what would happen’. After 5 hours, the magic started to take shape and they had the first draft of a piano-driven, old skool house cut that harked back to the days when they both started DJing. Fast-forward 2 months and after sending project files back and forth between Melbourne and L.A. and road testing all across Australia and the US, the boys had their as yet untitled debut release.

By chance, the instrumental track landed in the hands of legendary UK vocalist Steve Edwards, who shortly after hearing it, threw down an A grade, feel-good vocal hook in a throwback 90’s house style, instantly sealing the deal on the track and giving it it’s title, “This Feeling”. The dynamic duo that is now L’Tric, continue to collaborate from opposite ends of the Pacific and are working on a number of vocal-based releases, alongside the more underground sounds that first drew them into the world of house music.

A Freebie From Miami’s Finest – Henrix

Establishing himself as the quintessential ‘Sound of Miami’, Henrix is continuing his ascension to the very top of the charts. Having his tracks supported by some of the world’s most acclaimed DJs including: Diplo, Tiesto, David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, and Hardwell – Henrix has got some of the most influential DJs in the game supporting his cause. With the likes of Size Records, Mixmash, Cr2 Records and Universal Republic among the imprints releasing his sounds – Henrix seems to have no limits to what he can achieve.

After an astounding 2013 when he was named ‘Artist to Watch’ by Dancing Astronaut, The Beat Mill, and Fresh New Tracks, he is now continuing to release his unique brand of music and sharing it with the whole world. 2014 was also a big year for Henrix, having released a library of internationally received productions, and boasting substantial success on Beatport, with his tracks ‘Hit It’ and ‘Jumagee’. Henrix is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon and with his latest project ‘Universal Sound’ he is now heading towards closing this year with yet another potentially chart-topping hit.

‘Universal Sound’ kicks-off with a memorable synth riff, leading to a vocal-driven drop. It then takes us into an intergalactic journey, with a space-man voice ascension, which sets-off into a pumped-up version of the initial riff, followed by yet another short drop which creates anticipation for the main event of the production. Henrix devices a series of clever drops and peaks, showing extraordinary control of dynamic changes and making the track sound punchier. The vocal parts and some of the sounds Henrix uses truly justify the name ‘Universal Sound’, as he gets inspiration from outer-space, making his sound palette particularly interesting and unique.

This latest project showcases all of Henrix’s skills and talent, whilst giving all the reasons for the success he’s achieved during these recent years. There is only one way to describe ‘Universal Sound’ – it is an out-of-this-world track, irrefutably worth listening to and downloading (for free). There is surely much more yet to come from Henrix as he is unquestionably a serious talent that’s making rapid moves to the top of the dance music food chain.
