Knife Party Announce Online Launch Party for debut album ‘Abandon Ship’

We are pleased to confirm that Knife Party’s eagerly anticipated debut album “Abandon Ship” has been delivered and will be released on November 24th. Before then fans will see and hear the remaining album tracks unveiled in a number of ways throughout November. Firstly, a selection of tracks will be unveiled as part of Zane Lowe’s Album Of The Week feature on November 10th – this will be accompanied by an exclusive interview with the usually elusive Rob Swire. On November 17th, a full week prior to the official release, fans will be able to hear the album in full for the first time via Thump. Then, on the eve of the album’s release on November 23rd, Knife Party will be hosting an album launch party, location TBC, but the point is everyone’s invited as it will be broadcast live to the world on Mixify, a cutting edge online platform for DJs and fans alike which includes a live chat feature – the guys will be using this throughout the night to interact with their fans. As well as all the above, Knife Party will be dropping a select number of exclusive studio mixes throughout the month for the likes of Triple J and Sirius XM.

As for the album itself, Knife Party didn’t rely on their previously released singles ‘Internet Friends’, ‘Bonfire’ and ‘LRAD’ to make up the track-listing, instead they gave themselves the insurmountable task of coming up with twelve original tracks in between a busy touring schedule – quite a feat when you take into account the perfectionist traits of Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen. The album covers just about every sub-genre of dance music there is, but as you’d expect always with a Knife Party twist, hard to pigeonhole but if you imagine everything from seizure music to spooky roller disco, you’re getting there.

Kryder to collaborate with ex adult entertainment star Christy Mack

A pioneer within the music scene, creative visionary Kryder is taking things one step further with the announcement that he is to be joined by former adult entertainment star Christy Mack as part of a joint musical project, to be premiered in Amsterdam this month.

Kryder will be premiering the debut single at his ADE event Red Light at Jimmy Woo on 18th October alongside Tom Staar, Arno Cost, Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman and more, where fans will get an exclusive sneak peak of this groundbreaking collaboration – a dub version of the yet to be titled track.

Originally scheduled for release in November the track has now been moved to next year amid rumours that Christy will be joining Kryder for an exclusive show in 2015.

The details are still very much TBC, but this is exciting news and we’ll definitely be keeping our eyes and ears peeled for what’s to come next from Christy and Kryder.

‘Where We Belong’s road to release has been a long time coming for fans but now, that wait is finally over! Fedde Le Grand today brings out one of his most highly anticipated releases to date; an incredible partnership between himself and DI-RECT, which is available exclusively through Beatport for its opening two weeks of release. Together they have forged a track that has captured the imagination the world over with its emotive feel and stirring presence. Loved by all when it was first premiered at ADE and summarizing an incredible year for Fedde, be sure to grab it now and experience it for yourself:

Serving as the perfect accompaniment to today’s release comes the masterfully directed video from Oscar Verpoort and Final Kid aired via Fedde’s VEVO. Taking place amongst a plunging landscape in the Icelandic Mountains, a series of breathtaking craning cameras and sweeping snowy chopper shots follow a young boy on his search for Eutopia, as he battles through the rubble of a ruined land. Juxtaposing the high-energy track with slow motion photography, we are allowed to bask in both the poignant imagery and rousing music – as harmonious as the two Dutch talents combining. DI-RECT’s thumping indie rock and Fedde’s typically accomplished production continue to build and build with blisssful tones and lead singer Veenendaal’s stirring lyrics right up till the euphoric conclusion.

The official video is not the only addition to Where We Belong however. Turning the camera around and putting the fans in the spotlight, Fedde & DI-RECT invited people to capture the powerful vocals bit-by-bit, word-by-word, in an enormous collective lyric video that spanned worldwide. Shot and compiled all on Instagram, check out the magnificent end result below:

Today’s release tops the bill of Fedde’s 2013 and truly bookends what has been another sterling year for production and performance. Ring in 2014 with the sound of ‘Where We Belong’ and see Fedde for yourself at the upcoming tour dates.
