Following the success of ‘Came Up’, Flosstradamus, FKi1st and graves are releasing a remix package featuring Jorgen Odegard, Rickyxsan, graves & Clips x Ahovy and Casper & B. The package will be out on the 6th of January on Ultra Music.
First up, Jorgen Odegard builds up from a melodic chorus, dropping into a heavy trap-like rhythm layered with bubble-like synths. Meanwhile, Rickyxsan’s slow tempo remix is filled with staccato sounds.
graves & Clips X Ahoy’s edit starts off slow before dropping into a crescendo with an energetic, electro-influenced feel. Lastly; a remix from Casper & B., a vocal-driven track with a rumbling bassline giving the original track an urban touch from the pair.
Released in 2016, ‘Came Up’ featuring Post Malone and Key! amassed over 1 million plays on Soundcloud alone, becoming a summer anthem as it did the rounds at festivals. Now with the release of this remix package, there is version of Came Up for any set, further enriching Ultra Music’s ever- growing roster.
The newly formed DUO who will soon be known as “WAKE THE NIGHT” Da Vinci & Flatland Funk bring forth their massive banger “Tiger Cloak”. This new track is nothing less than high-energy and full of hard 808’s, with a touch of bouncy synths to complement the 808’s. only to build into a hybrid dubstep & trap infuzed drop. This one is a MONSTER.
Breakbeat is a style of electronic music that’s often mimicked and seldom perfected — but then again, most producers can’t touch the Dusty Bits. Putting a bassed out, breaks-rhythm spin on Wuki’s “Make It Clap,” Dusty Bits touch down with a must-have for the DJs. Dances’ vocals stay giving the instructions while the track builds to all-out frenzy. Breaks and bassline house sensibilities blend for a rework that makes for an essential secret weapon in any selector’s arsenal.
Officially sanctioned by Wuki himself, this remix is available for free download via Toneden — ungated downloads for press + supporting DJs are available upon request here. Stay on the lookout for lots more coming in 2017 from Dusty Bits!
Next on Create, label leader Lange delivers an update of one of the seminal Trance tracks from the early 1990s. Originally written by Jones & Stephenson and released on the infamous ‘Bonzai recordings’, ‘The First Rebirth’ induces euphoria with it’s timeless melody. Lange stays true to the original raw feel of the drums and percussion and subtly hints at the melody throughout the techno-driven intro. The revealing of the full melody in the breakdown will both touch those who are familiar with it’s haunting notes as well as inspire the newest of trance enthusiasts. As the breakdown crescendos into a roll of snares and acidic blips, the question is where next? The answer is full feet fulfilment.
We love Techno, we love Trance but we absolutely adore the combination.
