Alesso premieres video for brand new single ‘Falling’

Grammy-nominated DJ, producer and songwriter Alesso has unveiled his high-concept video for latest single ‘Falling’. Shot in Los Angeles and directed by Henrik Hanson, the stylish video is an homage to 80s movies such as ‘9½ Weeks’ and stars Alesso himself as he controls the movements of a dancer, creating a partner for the lone female dancer.

Of the video, director Henrik Hanson says:
“I wanted to make video about something impossible, like two AI robots falling in love. Alesso discovers that something is amiss, so he creates a partner, the AI couple fall in love through their dance. I wanted their dance to feel passionate and sensual, and to send a beautiful message to the viewer that we should take care of each other. He takes care of her, and she takes care of him after a long and hot dance.”

The visuals of the video act as the perfect companion to single ‘Falling’. The track was dubbed “a showcase of his versatility & proficiency” by Dancing Astronaut upon its release, with Metro commenting that the track is “up there with some of his best”. The single has already seen an overwhelming reception online, with it currently at over 4 million streams on Spotify since its release.

Alesso has had 5 UK top ten singles to date, including the number one hit ‘Under Control’ (with Calvin Harris and Hurts). His debut album ‘Forever’ hit the UK top 30 and featured collaborations with OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder and Tove Lo. The huge hit ‘Heroes (We Could Be)’, amassed over 1.5 billion streams worldwide and helped launch Tove Lo into pop superstardom.

Alesso is currently on tour across the globe – he will headline Miami Ultra Music Festival in March, as well as EDC Mexico and Euphoria Texas – all alongside residencies at XS at The Encore and Wynn’s Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas. He also opened for Madonna on her MDNA tour, who invited him personally, referring to Alesso as “the next big thing in dance music”.

Two Friends – Out Of Love [Spinnin’]

A little word from the guys,

“”This might be our favorite song we’ve ever made. It all came together
so organically and was such a fun one to work on from the very
beginning til the very end, which can be pretty rare.
Brandyn and Molly of Cosmos & Creature were such a pleasure to get
to know and write with on this one. And our friend Dave absolutely
crushed it on the sax. This is a special one for us- after all, we’re
naming the EP after it- and we are so proud to share it with all of
you.””

The guys have just come off a whistle-stop of the states with Matoma, and are now gearing up for their full EP release on Feb 24th. They’re on their 20th Hype Machine no.1 and have been recently supported by the likes of Tove Lo, The Chainsmokers and Tiesto.

Swedish singer-songwriter duo Smith & Thell release folky new single “February”

The pair have emerged as two of the most successful new songwriters and producers out of Sweden during the last year or two. With over 20 gold and platinum records to their name for other artists, and over 200 million streams to date, they have been slated as Sweden’s “Of Monsters and Men” equivalent, after releasing upbeat, folky pop singles “Statue” and “Row” last year.

The Story So Far
Maria Jane Smith and Victor Thell, collectively known as Smith & Thell, met as teenagers at a local music event in their hometown of Helsingborg in Southern Sweden. Since then, they have spent their time establishing themselves as one of Sweden’s most sought after songwriter and producer combos. They have contributed as writers on songs for major label artists that have combined to be streamed over 200,000,000 times (in Scandinavia alone).

After deciding to launch their own artist project, Smith & Thell, they submitted their original song “Statue” to be considered for Sweden’s prestigious Denniz Pop Awards. With a panel led by multi-platinum producer Max Martin, the jury selected Smith & Thell as the “2015 New Artist of The Year” which is the same honor that was given to international superstar Tove Lo in 2014.

ALESSO UNVEILS BRAND NEW TRACK ‘FALLING’

Alesso has unveiled his brand new single ‘Falling’, available now via Virgin EMI. The track, co-written by Alesso, is his first single since 2016’s ‘Take My Breath Away’.
‘Falling’ sees Alesso progress his sound in an intimate and soulful direction, with references to the many early house classics that inspired him.
With 5 UK top ten singles to date, including the number one hit ‘Under Control’ (with Calvin Harris and Hurts), Grammy-nominated DJ and producer Alesso has many accolades to his name.
His debut album ‘Forever’ hit the UK top 30 and featured collaborations with OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder and Tove Lo. The video for “Tear The Roof Up”, also on the ‘Forever’ album, was the first ever video to be premiered on Snapchat and saw over 500,000 views in under 30 minutes.
Known as much for his incredible live shows as for his releases, Alesso is currently on tour across the globe. He will headline Miami Ultra Music Festival in March, as well as EDC Mexico and Euphoria Texas – all alongside residencies at XS at The Encore and Wynn’s Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas. Tove Lo – Cool Girl (Two Friends Remix)

Two Friends have had a huge year, with a staggering 17 Hype Machine number #1’s, support from The Chainsmokers, Krewella, and Tiesto, as well as millions of plays for their originals. They’ll be kicking off 2017 where they left off with a new EP and tour with Matoma.

And here’s a quote from the guys about the remix:

“”When we first heard Tove Lo’s original, totally convinced it was and still is the swaggiest song of the year. The song has a complete IDGAF attitude and that’s definitely what attracts us to Tove Lo and her music cuz that’s kinda like us (except we really do GAF). Like two weeks after it came out we were literally writing an email to our managers trying to get the stems when our team sent us the inquiry from them asking if we wanted to remix Cool Girl by Tove Lo. It was pretty hilarious. Anyways, we did our thing- recorded a bunch of guitar (mah baby) and had a lot of fun switching up the vibe of the original. Hope you enjoy! ✌”
