Trinix Debuts “Ocean Hill” ft. Hannah Young Official Music Video, Off Hide EP via Ultra Records

Ultra Music deliver some more delights from Trinix this past week, with their brand new EP ‘Hide’ landing on February 17th, with pre-orders available from February 3rd. Featuring their hugely popular recent single ‘Raining Day’ that also got dropped via the dance super-label, the French duo have clearly been hard at work with this extended collection.
‘Never Enough’ is the opener here, and it is a hazy foray into the electronic-fuelled beats of this act. With subtle groove and a bubbling energy, this one leads neatly into ‘Ocean Hill,’ which features vocalist Hannah Young. This one is more pop centric, building an emotive energy from those softly sung tones and transitioning with melodic expression. ‘Pura’ has deep roots and hints of Eastern influences with striking strings and roving, pitched riffs, before ‘Raining Day’ takes hold with its mellow yet surging dynamism.

‘Dune’ makes for a weightier listen – think strong brass lurches and essential bassline reverbs, whilst ‘Last Ship’ draws the EP to a majestic close with its prevailing trap leanings and contrasting shimmers of piano.

Trinix continue to prove their unwavering credibility with ‘Hide’ – an exquisite foray through bass and electronica.

International Chart-Topper Imany Premieres Video for Her Global Hit “Don’t Be So Shy” (Filatov & Karas Remix)

The global chart topper is off Imany’s second studio albumThe Wrong Kind of War which will be released in the US March 10th via Ultra Records. The original version of the song was originally recorded for French film, Sous Les Jupes des Filles. Says Imany, “The song was written for a specific scene when 2 women were about to make love for the first time. One of the two was very insecure. The song Is about dropping the layers that prevent you from being yourself.” Of the remix, Imany says, it’s more playful, maybe a little more literal. The video aims to convey a feeling of freedom – the two women are isolated from the world and safe together. “It’s about being brave enough to love who you want to love any way you want to love them. At the end of the day it all comes down to being yourself, and feeling FREE to be yourself. That’s the message behind the video.”

Imany’s second album The Wrong Kind of War was released in 2016 in Europe and charted Top 10 in France. Her first album The Shape of a Broken Heart was released in 2011 and earned multi-platinum status in several European countries. Imany is currently touring and promoting the new album.
